1.They're jealous since he's in better shape than most people half his age.

2.They wish they could be half as badass as he is.

3.They're jealous of his incredibly cool, manly, cockney accent

4.His utter fearlessness makes others feel like cowards.

5.He makes a killing kicking other people's asses while they make minimum wage at Gamestop retail.

6.He has a fierce looking facial scar while the only scar his detractors have is from a botched circumcision.

7.A bullet to the head kills most people while a bullet in Zaeed's head just pisses him off more.

8.Zaeed's only friend is his gun.  Zaeed's critics have no friends.

9.They pirated the game and can't get Zaeed so they say he sucks to make themselves feel better about missing out on the most badass character ever.

10.They're Wrex fanboys who are furious at being proven wrong that it's not possible for someone to be even more badass than Wrex.

11. They're upset that they can't bone him. Because the only reason to play this game is to bone things you can't bone in real life.

I concur. Who DIDN'T like the last scene of the Zaeed loyalty mission? (That is, if you chose to continue chasing after the guy without stopping to help the pathetic workers)

Best. Revenge. Ever.

I LOVED Zaeed...until I realized I couldn't have a proper conversation with him outside his loyalty mission. Total buzzkill.

I liked him just fine for a throwaway character. I liked him in Kotor too, when he was going by his Canderous alias.

You don't talk to someone as badass as Zaeed... you listen.

He COULD have been a bad ass character but he just felt like a throwaway addition.. You easily recruit him and even his loyalty mission is sub-par compared to the others.. Add to that you can't even talk with him.. Not one of my favorite characters.

Zaeed was all , until my Paragon Shepard **** slapped him and then he was like :crying:
Jack called my Paragon Shepard a p*ssy. Wonder what that makes Zaeed.

Lol!

Well, my only real reason for hating, well, disliking Zaeed, is the lack of dialogue. Everytime you went to visit him, he told interesting stories, but there was no interaction. He seemed llike a lazy afterthought from Bioware. At least he was free, lol

Yeah he would have been better if you had to do a mission to recruit him but that wouldn't really work out with the whole "hired merc" story, so he is what he is. He does have stuff to say outside of the loyalty mission, I know there's a "Talk with Zaeed" icon at the bar in Afterlife, but I never "rolled" with Zaeed enough to see where else you could listen in on his awesome stories.

He does have some awesome stories :P

His stories are gotten down in the cargo area of the Normandy. You walk in and start activating things. There's a helmet, a model of a ship, and a gun. The helmet and model only have one conversation about them, but Zaeed practically composes a sonnet with the gun.

Zaeed actually has a lot more dialogue than the other characters. He doesn't have much interactive dialogue true but he has a comment about almost every recruitment and loyalty mission.

He's not like Jacob who just goes "we gunna spillz us sum dwinkz on da citadell!" ad-infinitum.

This. I thought his loyalty mission was one of the best, but his character just sucks outside of it.

I think Zaeed and Garrus's loyalty missions are the best because you have to make a very difficult decision.

I want everyone to be honest when answering this question.

Ready?

Who didn't laugh when he kicked that batarian in the face when you first meet him?

LOL

To be fair, most of those reasons apply to a good deal of the cast. I do not hate most of the cast. I hate Zaeed. Though I would like to have his accent.

Yeah, love how Zaeed likes shooting people in the kneecaps.  Does it to that Batarian and Vido Santiago.

lmao, awesomely put.  I really enjoyed Zaeed's character - his stories are pretty cool, and his voice acting is top notch.  With all of his comments in both the Normandy and on missions, it felt like he had more lines of dialog than the likes of Tali, Thane and Garrus!

I always have a moment for Zaeed.  Who knows, I might learn something...
