We have a new 8 page Dragon Age: Origins comic now available on the BioWare Blog. The comic was created jointly by Lead Writer David Gaider and BioWare Community member/talented artist Aimo.

The comic is, essentially, a cutscene that didn't make it into Dragon Age: Origins and features Alistair and Morrigan discussing the upcoming conflict with the Arch-Demon and the choice that the PC will have to face. David and Aimo have crafted an awesome 8 page comic that fits directly into the DA:O mythos.

You really should check out all 8 pages of the comic and visit Aimo's website for more of her awesome art. You can see the comic and the link to Aimo's site on the BioWare Blog here: http://blog.bioware.com/

Incredible, very good added insight into Morrigan. Would have preferred it from the point of view of Morrigan who romanced the male PC but I'm not complaining...too much.

Obviously in this case we had to take it from a single point of view-- in this case I thought it fitting to assume that they were referencing Aimo's cute dwarven noble heroine. The scene actually wasn't that different when it was Morrigan romancing a male PC. In that case it's Morrigan asking Alistair for advice-- Alistair being either the player's good friend or someone who she knows has a better grounding in morality than she does.

Alas, it never got very far. For a while afterwards there were supposed to be two alternate "openings" to the Morrigan offer-- if you were close to Morrigan you found her sitting on your bed and much more guarded, trying to figure out just how she's going to tell you what she has to tell you.

But that was too much cinematics work for a conversation which was already pretty heavy on the cinematics. So be it, you know? That's how game development goes. Just ask Chris Avellone sometime when you get the chance. :)

Anyhow, glad you guys liked the comic. I just adore Aimo's work.
