Obviously in this case we had to take it from a single point of view-- in this case I thought it fitting to assume that they were referencing Aimo's cute dwarven noble heroine. The scene actually wasn't that different when it was Morrigan romancing a male PC. In that case it's Morrigan asking Alistair for advice-- Alistair being either the player's good friend or someone who she knows has a better grounding in morality than she does.StreetlightEagle wrote...
Incredible, very good added insight into Morrigan. Would have preferred it from the point of view of Morrigan who romanced the male PC but I'm not complaining...too much.
Alas, it never got very far. For a while afterwards there were supposed to be two alternate "openings" to the Morrigan offer-- if you were close to Morrigan you found her sitting on your bed and much more guarded, trying to figure out just how she's going to tell you what she has to tell you.
But that was too much cinematics work for a conversation which was already pretty heavy on the cinematics. So be it, you know? That's how game development goes. Just ask Chris Avellone sometime when you get the chance.
Anyhow, glad you guys liked the comic. I just adore Aimo's work.

I opened up the comic not expecting much. I've never been a big comic fan, but given that it was Dragon Age I had to take a peak... and WOW! That took my breath away. I truly felt as if it was a hidden piece of video I had not come across. It was immersive and let me see my old friends again in something brand new. Kudos to Aimo and David for making this small work of art and giving this gift to the community.

Wonderful. This colab is made of dreams, cherries and rainbows.
And we're all out of rainbows. 'twas most beautiful art aimo and thanks for the slightly deeper look into the characters again, David.
This is why Bioware love their fans.

I think I'm offically an Aimo fangirl now.
I love it, I just love it. The conflictedness in Morrigan is just amazing, and it fits so well with my game since I'm one of the legions of Alistair fangirls who romances him and has Morrigan as a BFF for her characters[1]. The whole Dark Ritual is so bittersweet, and I think people forget how much Morrigan has to sacrifice in all of it.
Sorry if this is a bit rambly, I'm still precoffee.
[1] Though pretty much exclusivly Dalish.
edit for coheriance: To the guys that complain that its not a male romancing Morrigan, throw us ladies a bone! You get your male human noble in every single trailer for the game, us ladies get well, this. Moslty what I was trying to say is that it is a very painful thing for Morrigan to do, and in it I actually give her credit for trying to do something good for someone for once. No matter what happens though, she essentially looses her only friend.

That comic is awesome, though i understand why it has to be cut it's still sad such an emotional scene didn't made it into the game. Such an amazing inside into the inner conflict into a beloved character. That add's a new layer to her personality and shows she really has a loving and caring side, which is just...thx
So thx to both to Aimo and David for their beautiful work.
If you two ever make a comic book like "all the scenes that didn't make it into DAO for various reasons", i'm gonna buy it, that's for sure

This comic is fantastic, I've been a big fan of Aimo since the KotOR days, so amazing work on the collaboration Aimo and David! Like many others, I seriously wish this was in the game - not that I really had much doubt that Morrigan was doing it to help my character as a friend, as well as for personal interest.

Aimo, I hope you know I've been amongst your legion of fans ever since the good ol' KotOR days and the Carth threads on the old BioBoards. I just love your art so much. You do such an amazing job of capturing the emotions of the characters that it's almost uncanny. You deserve all of the kudos you've been getting here and then some. I absolutely loved your dwarf PC series and this comic was phenomenal.
Thanks also to David. I've also been amongst your legion of fans since the ol' KotOR days. I really enjoyed seeing this as my PC was good friends with Morrigan, and I felt like there was a big hole when it came to the whole question of the ritual. I think this comic did Morrigan's character a real service and I really enjoyed seeing that those emotional depths I suspected existed truly were there.
It's just awesome to see a collaboration like this, between a fan and a game company.

Awesome! Really love the art! On top of that, Alistair and Morrigan are my two most favourite party members, so I'm really happy to see them drawn in a comic.
