Obviously in this case we had to take it from a single point of view-- in this case I thought it fitting to assume that they were referencing Aimo's cute dwarven noble heroine. The scene actually wasn't that different when it was Morrigan romancing a male PC. In that case it's Morrigan asking Alistair for advice-- Alistair being either the player's good friend or someone who she knows has a better grounding in morality than she does.StreetlightEagle wrote...
Incredible, very good added insight into Morrigan. Would have preferred it from the point of view of Morrigan who romanced the male PC but I'm not complaining...too much.
Alas, it never got very far. For a while afterwards there were supposed to be two alternate "openings" to the Morrigan offer-- if you were close to Morrigan you found her sitting on your bed and much more guarded, trying to figure out just how she's going to tell you what she has to tell you.
But that was too much cinematics work for a conversation which was already pretty heavy on the cinematics. So be it, you know? That's how game development goes. Just ask Chris Avellone sometime when you get the chance.
Anyhow, glad you guys liked the comic. I just adore Aimo's work.
It was a fantastically moving scene anyway, any alternate scene depending on the players relationship with her would have been welcome but definitely not a necessity in drawing out an emotional response from the player. I thought Morrigan was one of the most deep characters ever portrayed in video game history and the while Morrigan romance ending of Dragon Age is the only moment a game has ever made me shed a tear. You should definitely be very proud of your work, thank you once again. I'm glad you got the scene made into a comic though, the art is superb.
