I just killed the Highdragon on the mountain, sohuld I wait to craft the armor before I start endgame or is it ok to craft it now? will the stats be any different?

Stats are not affected by game progress. They are affected by something else, though.

"Something else" spoilers:









"Something else" as in, if you willingly paid for both drake scale armors before doing the dragon scale quest, you'll get a superior dragon scale instead. Save up to about.. 30 gold for the armors.
