I'm still pissed about my two-handed Starfang though =/ I love that weapon. But as long as you promise to replace it with a bad-ass two-hander I suppose I can forgive you.
I love you guys, keep up the good work.

BW2: I have an idea. Let's make the RTO items importable to Awakening.
BW1: Great idea!
BW2: Look at the forums now. People are considering buying RTO after the RTO items import announcement.
BW1: Tricked them! LOL!

The interview over on this thread confirmed that they have been working on this expansion for almost a year at this point. Many, including myself, were worried that the devs were being rushed...
Victor Wachter wrote...
Why don’t my DLC items carry forward?
... The root of the issue is that the previously released DLC was not built in such a way that those DLC items import properly into Awakening. Rather than spending the resources addressing this thorny issue in multiple DLCs, we spent our time adding features and polish that made Awakening better...

UPDATE: I learned today that we would be able to import items from Return to Ostagar into Awakening. So, don't strip out of King Cailan's armor or drop Duncan's Dagger!
Had they spend some of the resources during the year so we could import other DLCs too, I wouldn't say a thing.Dansayshi wrote...

Yippee for Cailan's Armor though.

My only hope is that it means that they are working to allow the transfer of all DLC items and that it is not just an act to support RTO sales.
Hopefully, now that they know how to make DLC items transferable, it should not be so time consuming to make them all transferable.

This announcment is bittersweet, as because this just proves that because people weren't going to buy RTO. They will fix it to where you can carry it over but since people already bought the two previous ones, they won't touch them........... Seriously thats not fair for us who bought them!!!

I think Bioware got the message. They are probably working on the others now, and will make announcements as they finish them.

And what about items my other party members are wearing? Should i let them battle the ArchDemon naked so that i have them in my inventory?

Load the Post Campain save, take the items from your companions, save and uses this save for import in Awakening.-akujin- wrote...

That the items do not import is not a matter of stats, but a matter of emotional connection to them. Even if I have equipped e.g. the Warden's Commander Armor, I carry it in my inventory all the time. Same for the Antique Warden Crossbow. This is an antique item, nothing you sell or give away, you know.DKJaigen wrote...

Come on Bioware, add the Warden Armor..........................as the new commander of the warden's its only fitting that im wearing it.....................DO THE RIGHT THING !
Hear! Hear!!!
Glad to hear about RtO items, but I want my Warden armor too!!! -That suit has become a 2nd skin, even with the more powerful armor's like blood dragon, juggernaut etc about - I stuck to my warden Commander armor through out the game. I want to atleast begin Awakenings with it - from an RP perspective I cant imagine a suit thats more fitting for the role of the new warden commander than this piece.
I wont even start about the sentimental value of Starfang...
Really hope the news about RTO items transfering over is a start as well as a sign of a good things to come as far as the rest of the DLCs are concerned...
For now, thanks for the RTO items Bioware - good marketing strategy as it may be, I appreciate your efforts never the less.

I still have at least 2 more playthroughs to get every achievement on the 360 version, so I'll be making use of those items in Origins for at least the next few months--with a slight break in between to play Awakenings thorougly.
