This is amazing news, thank you BioWare. Would still like to keep Shale and the Starfang, but I'll take what I can get. Thank you.

Let's have a quick poll, which weapon and armor would you guys like to see carried over?

For me:

Weapon - Starfang. Face it, every fantasy hero need a weapon from the Heavens to slay a legendary evil.

Armor - Blood Dragon Armor. Some people claim that it looks horrid, but I like the model and a re-texture can fix the color.

It does have the best items out of the DLC's, gauntlets, boots, sword and shield (shield is ****e, but the set bonus is gr8) and duncans dagger.

Wow, the squeaky wheel really does get the oil.

*Contemplates things to complain about so Bioware will possibly implement it*

Well this goes to show that their statement of the DLC being 'meant for Origins and thus not able to be transfered over' were bullocky eh?

Love ya BioWare but.. come on. Find a story and stick to it please :)

(This is good news, not saying it isn't, just putting my view on their previous statements regarding this)

So, RtO sales weren't going well... huh Bioware?

If Awakening ends up being a flop then maybe I should start being optimistic about seeing our old companions(and romance) again in the future.

Well at least it makes it somewhat more worth my while to actually buy RtO since I won't have it until next week. The incentive does help. I agree that I would have preferred to keep Starfang and my WC armor though. Oh well.

Perhaps more people would of bought RTO if it was a new area, instead of reusing 4 areas and creating a new 1 which you already knew the layout of. Their really isnt anything in it except for about 20 lines of dialogue and the items. But you cant complain, its 3 quid / 5 dollars, ill settle for that.

Depends on how much of a skeptic you are. It could be assumed that, since RTO was developed much later than the other DLC's, whatever the problem with DLC porting over to Awakening is doesn't apply to RTO as they were conscious of it and made RTO compatible.

I hope your right. Id feel guilty about wronging bioware if they're genuinely trying to get it working for us. But it does sound too much like a business move.

I don't think Shale is possible because Shale is part of the main game. They just made it a DLC with a 15$ price tag to counter buying used games. Shale is included free for brand new games.

That's great, but as far as Bioware's logic goes, why bring Return to Ostagar items over? They said that the DLC items were meant for Origins only, and they would be discarded because of how weak in comparison the many weapons and armors would be. The Warden Commander's armor is a Hell of a lot tougher than Cailan's armor. lol I really hope this isn't just a ploy to increase Return to Ostagar sales after they lost customers themselves by delaying it for so long. Please, Bioware, give us Warden's Keep too.

So it's been made pretty clear that the whole "gear is too weak" argument was inaccurate.  That was the first official response, sure, but it left out the Actual Reason, there is a bug in most DLC gear that means it can't be imported.  My bet is that this has to do with how Bioware official DLC is copyprotected.  RtO didn't suffer this glitch (maybe something got fixed after the release day dlc)

The 'too weak' reasoning only enters in because that's why Bioware isn't fixing it.  They figure we wouldn't care since we'd ditch the stuff we had for yet more epic lewts.

But I'll second your sentiment, Please Give us all the DLC!

I haven't read anything about the armor being bugged, but I'm completely aware of how glitchy the DLC can be. Still, being the Warden Commander, it would be a sensible gesture for Bioware to implement the items from Warden's Keep into Awakening.

BFD. My bet is RTO sales were slack. As I recall, there is nothing in RTO any more powerful than the items I already have. Did I miss something? My Warden's are shield warriors. Probably not worth a trip back to the chest.

Currently for armor I have Legion of the Dead, Juggernaut, Wade's Superiors (Drakeskins) w/Conspirator's Foil for mental resist; for Shields: Duncan's, Earthheart's Portable Bulwark, and Eamon's (for stamina); Swords: Topsider's Honor and Keening Blade (both fully enchanted with Grandmasters). Is Duncan's sword really worth the bother?

Starfang and the Warden Commanders armor. The armor is so iconic.
