Seriously... someday I'll be able to gut Lord Nasher proper like.

Yeah, I can see the Collectors now...with an army of cloned Jokers with brittle bones. Some geneticists...ooo, scary!
As far as traitors go, I bet it's our space hampster or maybe...just maybe it will actually be Yoshimo himself! Bioware should put in an ensign Yoshimo just to throw us all off.
The real traitor is likely going to be Liara, she's way too suspicious. I hate what the writers did to her character, not that I was a huge fan in the first game. But she's really sketchy now.

Although Zaeed is probably loyal to whoever pays him the most, so it could be him.

That's true. Aribeth, Bastila, Neeshka (possibly). Haven't played BG. In this case, though, I can't really see them betraying us to the Reapers. What's to gain? That's assuming, of course, that the Reapers are what they seem to be.PooPoomonster wrote...

I doubt Liara would betray Shepard. She is the only character who couldn't let Shepard go (LI or not)

Liara, otherwise the total personality change from ME1 Miss Vulnerability to ME2 Miss Ruthless makes even less sense.

Naw, Zaeed rawks. It's clear from his conversations after missions and such that by the time ME2 is over, he sees the big picture. the only reason he will walk away is because he is DLC

I would still like the chance to get her killed.

Thane, Garrus, Mordin, and Samara have killed people they have disapproved of before. They are all experienced at doing it.
Zaeed could be hired to kill Shepard.
Jacob/Miranda could turn on Shepard if he does something against Cerberus or humanity.
Ashley/Kaidan could turn on Shepard if he does something against the Alliance or humanity.
Grunt could turn on Shepard if Shepard didn't help him out or if Shepard does something against the Krogan.
Jack could turn on Shepard if Shepard treats her like ****

Yea, Liara betraying Shepard makes 0 sense. She was the one who saved Shepard in the first place.
Yes, that was good vulnerable ME1 Liara who saved Shepherd. Events during and after that turned her into a ruthless "hardened" ME2 Liara, who is driven, possibly obsessed, with thoughts of vengeance.
It is a theme Bioware has used before, that the "good" can be turrned to "evil" by being consumed with thoughts of revenge, e.g. Aribeth.

Miranda would be a good choice if they go this route. She would do anything for Oriana. All TIM has to do is remind her that Dad can find her any time he wants since Cerberus has no reason to protect a former agent's family. As long as we can redeem her a la Bastila, it works for me. Liara is more likely to go ballistic if you interfere with her plans for vengance than betray you. I can see either lady as a potential antagonist.
There is a possibility that Miranda is dead after ME2 while Liara cannot be killed during ME. With Liara Bioware can basically do whatever they wish because it is certain that she is still alive in ME3 if Bioware sees that fit. My guess is that if Miranda is alive in ME3 then there will be another mission to save Oriana from Cerberus. If you fail to do this mission then Miranda will backstab you. Liara may well backstab you as well but there must be a good reason for that. Anyway, I assume that there could be more than one backstabbing on you in ME3.

As for who will be this game's "Yoshimo", PooPoomonster does make a compelling argument about Bioware's history with getting female leads to betray you. So Liara would probably be the best candidate. Though, once again, if their past history is any indication, you'll have a chance to win the traitor back if you play your cards right (I failed miserably with Aribeth and just barely got through to Bastila myself).
