I would disagree, most of the species resemble humans in varying degrees. They do a good job with faces, but they're pretty darn human. Asari and Quarians most of all.rwilli80 wrote...
Nothing of a Quarian's body looks human, with the exception of the torso. So why all of a sudden should they have a face similar to humans. None of the aliens in Mass Effect, with the exception of the Asari look human (which I applaud Bioware for that. To many scifi shows and movies have human looking aliens. I also have a theory on why the Asari look human). I think the best thing for Bioware is to never truly reveal her face, that way it up to the fans to imagine what she looks like.
The Quarians are nothing like humans, with the exception of having arms and legs. Of cousre most of the species are going to be bipedal, its just easier on the dev team.
And the Asari, like I said I have a theory on why they look so much like humans. They use a telepathic illusion to make themselves look appealing to other races, afterall they rely on other races to keep their genetic material varied. And the reason I came up with this is the conversation the bachelor party had in Eternity.
The three races a Salarian, Human, and a Turian were watching an Asari dancer and each said how she looks like themselves. That would explain the ease at which other races find them so beautiful. I know this is not what the developers had in mind, but if they did someone was really thinking out of the box.

One of the books actually says that the Quarians look very similar to humans, which has already been stated in this thread. If you would read it you would know everything you said is wrong.

On topic, there should be an option to see Talis face somewhere near the end of ME3. But the player should have the choice. If you think it ruins the character for you then you should not be forced to see what Tali and her race look like.

It'll end up on the internet in 24 hours after release. You'll avoid seeing her face in game, just to have it all ruined by some ****** on the net few minutes later.Vena_86 wrote...

This is internet mate. It'd be Harry Potter all over again.

I don't recall the bbachelor party guys talking about that? Besides, using illusions seems a little too 'magic' to me, so I don't buy it. I do however think there might be other factors involved, namely pheromones that from the asari tend to be attractive to other species. That the asari resemble humans is probably more of a coincidence or a case of random chance (my way ofd saying Boiware needed some pretty and exotic girls for the male players to drool over).

Either that or they watched that Red Dwarf episode with the pleasure gelf.

If I remember correctly, one of the artists said on the documentary that came with ME1 CE that the design brief for the asari was basically "we need blue space-babes"...
