Lazy Photoshop mockup. Personally, I wouldn't mind if Bioware went for something a bit more alien than this as long as she has a normal mouth.

Sorry, but this looks like a zombie.

Who is that? Darth Vader?

Regardless it is a win/win situation for me.

If BioWare keeps the Quarians faces a secret the outrage will be great, the laughs I get from it will be many, and the tears will sustain me for months... maybe even years.

If they do take the mask away... well there will still be a large group that will be unhappy. The rage will still be great, the laughs I have will be made better because they got what they wanted, and the tears will still keep me going for a long time.

I think BioWare missed their chance to really effectively reveal Tali's face in a manner that actually makes sense (that is, if they intend to at all).
If they had done it in ME2, we could have been surprised along with Shepard, but instead they hid the face from the players.
Revealing her face in ME3 (if it's planned) would have to be some weak and interchangable scene like...
Tali, "Whoops, the glue on my mask isn't sticky anymore and it popped off."
Shepard, "That's okay, I have some extra glue in my fanny pack.  I wear a fanny pack.  Your face is old news to me anyway, but let's get an extreme close up with the camera anyhow."

This thread is getting more and more bizzare! There is a huge problem with revealing Tali because by now, two games in, most people will have an idea of what they want her to look like. Bioware is going to have to do a incredible job to make her something special, and not just a space elf.

This is an image of a Quarian skeleton. The skull looks pretty much identical to that of a human's.

That's not a Quarian skeleton, it's a DRELL skeleton.

The middle two fingers are fused together just like Thane's, and the shin bones aren't recurved, they are nearly straight when viewed from other angles. Also, the skeleton would still be inside an environmental suit if it was a Quarian.

Did you even read the OP? Location is given, and the mission is to rescue a QUARIAN recon group that was attacked by native wildlife, which could explain the lack of suits. Also, I don't believe the drell's finger bones are fused, there seems to be enough space for two individual fingers, fused on the outside by webbing and skin.

The logs specifically said that they WOULDN'T be taking off their suits on this planet. And the group still has a live Quarian there, so it has obviously not been long enough for a body to decompose down to the bones.

It's not a Quarian.

Nothing of a Quarian's body looks human, with the exception of the torso. So why all of a sudden should they have a face similar to humans. None of the aliens in Mass Effect, with the exception of the Asari look human (which I applaud Bioware for that. To many scifi shows and movies have human looking aliens. I also have a theory on why the Asari look human). I think the best thing for Bioware is to never truly reveal her face, that way it up to the fans to imagine what she looks like.

I would disagree, most of the species resemble humans in varying degrees. They do a good job with faces, but they're pretty darn human. Asari and Quarians most of all.

The Quarians are nothing like humans, with the exception of having arms and legs. Of cousre most of the species are going to be bipedal, its just easier on the dev team.

And the Asari, like I said I have a theory on why they look so much like humans. They use a telepathic illusion to make themselves look appealing to other races, afterall they rely on other races to keep their genetic material varied. And the reason I came up with this is the conversation the bachelor party had in Eternity.

The three races a Salarian, Human, and a Turian were watching an Asari dancer and each said how she looks like themselves. That would explain the ease at which other races find them so beautiful. I know this is not what the developers had in mind, but if they did someone was really thinking out of the box.

That was a gag. How can you control minds when your dead? And they still look the same after toy kill them. As it was stated in other posts "they needed  space babes".

And that skeleton looks human IMO. They just didn't want to develop seperate model for a Quarian, so they used generic human model.

And again: why do we need another Tali face thread?

I was talking about that one initially, I assumed there was one I didn't know about on that planet too since he said so :P

We haven't seen Quarian skeletons yet. From my inspection on the geth planet that skeleton mostly resembles a Drell and not a Quarian for all the reasons outlined in my previous two posts. Sorry guys, wishful thinking!

It's a placeholder human skeleton. It the same one as you'll find outside the abandoned mine full of Husks and on the morgue slab near Okeers lab. It's supposed to be a Varren chewed Quarian, but it's not specifically modeled to be one.

(I can't believe that needs pointing out to some people!)

There seems to be some confusion concerning the skeletons seen in game and what species they belong to, but here's what we know. Humans have four fingers and a thumb. Quarians have two fingers and a thumb. Drell have four fingers, the middle two of which are connected, and a thumb. So even if the bones were fused, they'd have three fingers. Both skeletons on the assignment have two fingers on each hand, and two toes on each foot. There's no way they are not quarian skeletons.

It's a generic skeleton they use throughout the game.  There's one around Okeer's lab during Grunts recruitment.  If you look closely in game it doesn't have 3 fingers.  It's just poor graphics.

Plus, even if it were 3 fingers the feet aren't chicken feet.

The skeletons aren't quarian. I kind got my hopes up, too. Here's proof.

The Skeleton In Question:
http://i19.photobuck...skeleton_01.png
http://i19.photobuck...ton_02_hand.png
http://i19.photobuck...ton_03_foot.png

Tali:

http://i19.photobuck...ali_01_foot.png

So, not even close. It might be an oversight or it might be indicative that the quarians were not the first to find their ignoble end on this planet. After all, there are several dead turian Blue Suns mercs throught the game lying in a pool of red blood.

These are opinons not facts.

OrosTheAvengerX wrote...

It's been a runing joke that Tali and inherently all quarians will have "Predator" mouths with madables and what-not, and seeing as no player has ever truly seen their faces, anything could be under their masks. BUT... There are several bits of evidence that imply that quarians have "normal" human-like mouths/ faces.

1) When Shepard removes Tali's mask, he is clearly not shocked by what he sees, rather, he seems pleased, as I'm sure we will when we finally get to see her face. (Right, Bioware?!?)

2) Also, after Shepard removes Tali's mask, SHE kisses HIM. This suggests that  she has lips at least like Thane's. Female Shepard and Thane kiss in their romance, but not with Garrus.

3) In one of the side assignments, the player gets a chance to see quarian skeletons. Scan the planet Gei Hinnom (Sheol System, Hades Nexus) to get the assignment. There is one survivor, several dead quarians, and a couple of skeletons that at first glance look human. But both hands and feet of both skeletons have two fingers/ toes, and a skull that looks almost EXCATLY human.

4) Given the large number of Tali fans (myself included) I can't see Bioware makeing Tali anything but hotttt.

So there will be none of this: http://plancksconsta...-predatorsm.jpg
Rather I hope she looks something very close to this: http://img412.images...51/talibabe.jpg (I did NOT make this)

Not a quarian... It's just some Blue Suns merc #1574 who probably died trying to do some salvage...
