If I use my phone to post in the forums, any text box except the quick reply and the topic heading doesn't work..... except for those damned smiley faces! Anyway how do you get reinstatement as a spectre? I've heard some say they have done it, I'm just starting playthrough #2.... someone help me out por favor?

You get to choose when you go meet Anderson in the Citadel for the very first time.

Have to have saved the council in ME 1. Meet with them you regain status. No perks for it but does change some dialogue.

If you chose Anderson instead of Udina to be on the Council at the end of ME1, whether you saved them or not, you get the choice to be reinstated. If you chose Udina, he doesn't like you, so you don't get reinstated.

You go talk to Anderson (or Udina, if it works with him as Councilor) on the Citadel, have your meeting with the Council (not sure if it works if the old Council is dead), and they'll reinstate your Spectre status.

I have a different game system so my save data was lost. I have the default start as if I never played the first game, the council did mostly die & Anderson does work for udina so I'm screwed I guess?

There's very little point in being a Spectre in ME2, the council is just paying you lip service while the Turian councilor finger quotes you.

I truly want to be a Spectre again in ME3 though, even more than I want to unleash Grunt on that Turian.
