 I just completed ME 2 with an imported paragon and loved it. 

But I only had one character from ME 1. So my question is:

Is it worth the time going back to ME 1 to make a character to import it? Or should i just go with a default shepard?

Depends on how much you enjoy Mass Effect 1.

You will lose the chance to see most of the cameo appreances from all the characters you met from ME1 and some easter eggs referencing what you did in the last game however.

Yes, it is very worth it, I just recently did that. I will probably end up doing it again to get my engineer to 60 so I don't feel like I'm gimping myself with my fem-shep.

I actually went back and tried and couldn't do it.  Was way too spoiled by ME2 gameplay...  it's ok though since the ones I care to carry over are pretty much set.

You can go there and pick story elements and LI's that you want carried over.  I could never do it because I can't stand the names...<_<

you can also re use your 1 me save over and over. you just don't get the small import bonus resources, but you get the longevity, which is about 5x more

Yeh i guess I will. But I want about 3 characters. The one I just finished was an in the middle between paragon and renegade (usually tipping for the paragon in most situations.)..... Paragade?
Male soldier. I'd like a full paragon Infiltrator and a full renegade vangaurd. and then maybe a femshep adept. just to see the different character interaction. The one I just did stayed faithful to ashley and I'd like to see how tali's romance turns out. So in the next few ME 1 characters, should I romance no one? And one more question.

When importing a character from ME 1, can you change gender appearance and class? because I forget if you can.


Edit: I'm a 360 player.

And i was thinking that I could re-do my ME 1 character to get to level 60 so one of my new characters can have better stuff. But I don't want to play through as a soldier again.

You can change everything but gender, for some obvious reasons (Kaiden/Ashely Romance)
