So yeah... I don't remember ME1 but I do remember Conrad that annoying idiot that I sent home. Chose the Paragon path and here he is talking about a gun to his face. So uhh... no Paragon path for him eh?

The consensus here is that the whole gun thing is a glitch. Hopefully it's patched soon :(

It's pretty funny hearing him say "You taught me how to be truly extreme!"

this has been brought up a thousand times... and there are three dominant ideas:

1) it's bugged and treats it as a renegade

2) the paragon choice resulted in a scene/variant that was cut from me2

3? Conrads not right in the head, so that is how he could have remembered it/lazy developing.

so take yer pick * lol

I just chalked it up to him being delusional and unstable.

But yeah, I'm pretty sure it's a glitch.

I stuck a gun in his face.

Sometime the Renegade option is just fun, even though I'm a pretty solid Paragon player.

I think the picture of Shepard pointing his gone was taken seriously after several times of walking in the living room and seeing it. Image IPBImage IPB

I think it's a bug personally.

It's one that I'm grateful for though unless there is is (or was supposed to be) an equally amusing Conrad story for those who took the Paragon route with him in ME1. The Conrad Saga is probably my favorite side quest in ME3, the asari bartender's /facepalm when Conrad is talking about his wife "supporting" his adventures is just priceless.

I only pulled the gun on him once in ME1, and it made me feel bad, so I took the Paragon route in all my other runs.

I took the Paragon path in ME1 and imported my ME1 savegame to ME2. I lol'd so hard when Conrad Verner in ME2 told me that I did in fact shove my gun in his face 2 years ago in the Citadel. I thought He's mentally unstable.

Ah, so it's a bug :P

I couldn't remember what I did in my ME1 saves. So, I didn't notice that it mat have been a glitch.

It would be nice for ME3 to list everything that was done which could be affected.

Maybe Shep did pull a gun on him, being dead 2 years probably messes up your memory, let alone all the effects of the beacons and asari mind probes. Also its Conrad Verner even if you didn't pull a gun on him you probably should have and Conrad is just covering for your lack of aggression

It's not a bug, devs just decided to go that way with it

It is a bug. The ME1 save file has it marked that you used both the Paragon and Renegade options. They cant patch it, because its in ME1 that the error occurred.

Just imagine he is mentally unstable, makes it seem normal.

Wrong, I'm certain it's not a bug 'cos I tested the savegame "fix". I unchecked "intimidated Conrad", started NG+, did a speed run to Ilium and Conrad still said the same thing

Because of the bug, it is impossible to get the Paragon encounter to happen, so they didnt make one.

Don't you think that they would have tried to fix it instead of covering it up? Other Intimidate/Charmed someone flags works fine. The fact that they didn't make a paragon encounter means it's not a bug, that they just decided to go that way with it

Your proof that it isn't a bug is that  a flag meant to change the outcome doesn't work.
.... isn't that the definition of a bug?

Hey Conrad, bud... I know you want to be more like me. You know, live this extreme life style. Ever meet an Ardat Yakshi, or been with an Asari? You wife will never have to know... come on let me introduce you to Morinth.

People think it's a bug because both intimidate Conrad and charm Conrad were checked

Someone said that they found an email in the game's code that supposedly you got if you charmed him. But that would mean no quest on Illium, just another crappy email, so that's probably why BioWare decided to use only intimidated Conrad

Either way the flags don't work as intended.

Someone said that they found an email in the game's code that supposedly you got if you charmed him. But that would mean no quest on Illium, just another crappy email, so that's probably why BioWare decided to use only intimidated Conrad

If that were true that's worse than a bug, that's just lazy.

Probably they didn't put that scene in as they were trying to make a release date. There are a few things in this game that seem to have been half-assed, this is one.
