If it wasn't for some personalized aspects, like the Tali romance. It would have made a killer cover, way better than the one the one they used.

Hey, thanks for the comments everyone! Very inspiring to get all your feedback. Maybe if I get time I can convert this piece so it works as a wallpaper; perhaps I could then add in the final 3 characters. I’ll have to see what I can do, though it may be a while until I can get to it.



Putting Tali up there as the love interest was one of those things which I knew would be a bit of a gamble as she isn’t everyones cup of tea but it was one of those snap decisions. I’d just finished my first playthrough, I was totally blown away by the whole thing and it ended up being a bit of a homage to that experience.



This won’t be the last piece I create though. Because it’s been a great learning experience to create this piece and it’s been so awesome to read all the feedback, I’ve started another piece based around the Omega characters. It might take a while to complete as things are pretty busy right now and I can only grab an hour here and there, but I’ll try a post a WIP before the weekend. Thanks again everyone!

Gravbh, Orfinn, Sol243. Thanks! Mass Effect is everything a great Space Opera should be, so when I was
planning this piece I had the colour schemes the Bioware guys had chosen for ME1 in mind; along with the Star Wars art by Drew Struzan and a big helping of artist John Berkey.

If I get a chance I’ll make a modified version of this piece to work as a wallpaper; if I do that I’ll probably add Legion and Jacob. Zaeed Will feature in the new piece (which is portrait too, I like the idea of creating poster/ book cover pieces, it’s good practice). Thanks again!

Hey metallica1986, thanks for the feedback! I do have a deviant art account…BUT I set it up and I haven’t
got around to adding anything to it yet…I really should sort that out. I have two websites though.  NicksDesk and The Insect Dynasty which is a satellite site of the former website. They’re in a bit of upheaval right now…but again I’ll get that sorted…it’s on my ‘to do’ list…honest!

Jackal904, Thanks! Haha, yeah Tali is a cool character, I like that little bit of mystery they have going with the Quarians. However if Liara comes back for the third game, chances are she’ll take centre stage in my ME3 art.

have added more to my sports skills, I live in fear on kicking a ball ;P Now if you want someone to paint a
ball…I could do that ;P

What a fantastic picture. I love how imposing the Illusive Man looks looming over everyone like that, the poses (like they're all about to kick some major ass, which they probably will ), the colour scheme, the texture, the composition, Tali ♥... I can definitely see the Star Wars influence, too

Great work, if Bioware releases a "Game of the Year Edition" or an expansion or anything ME2 related really. They should have this as cover art, since no offense, but their own cover art for ME2 was not really my cup of tea. ME1 had great cover art though and i got the Collectors Edition, so not that big of a deal for me, but it hurts myself a little when i see this great game on the shelfs with that cover it has.

Now THAT is exceptional work. The colors are vivid and eye-catching and the characters well portrayed. It looks like an epic movie poster! It's a shame you couldn't fit the entire dirty dozen in but that hardly takes away from this great piece. Thanks for sharing.
