I think the s lutty part everyone is talking about comes from the way the line "I just want to talk for a bit" is said. Maybe if the actor gave it a different tone it would feel different.

I honestly thought that Jacob, for a Renegade FemShep was the only choice. She knows what she wants. (The first thing I noticed on Jacob was his butt! haha) And my renegade Shep gets what she wants. He's also very straight forward and she appreciates he doesn't need to be coddled. Now some of his lines are cheeeeesy! hehehe

Thane and Garrus are waaaay too needy for a Renegade Shep. She doesn't have time to waste fixing people. She's going on a suicide mission and she needs some tension relief!

I just find Garrus more endearing for some reason. No big explanation. Thane's story is interesting too. Jacob's was just kind of... yeah. Nothing there.

 I've still never played a LadyShep, but I've watched my sister play some, and was totally creeped out by her cheap come-on sounding "let's talk" line.

"I'm more interested in just talking a bit."

Every time I hear that, I'm expecting her to start winking and pointing at her crotch and making obscene gestures at poor Jacob.

I've not played a FemShep, but a lot of the lines with Jacob came off awkward enough as a guy. Something in the way you open conversations with him and position yourself.

Maybe the lack of gay romance so far has just been to leave some space for DudeShep and Jacob's bromance to blossom into something beautiful in ME3.

I was terrified of talking to him after that first line, like one stray dialog choice and Shepard would just jump him right then and there. It's probably just the voice acting. Maybe Jennifer Hale was a Jacob fan.

It is official, Jacob is the worst romance in Bioware history, Anomen can finally breathe a sigh of relief, after more then a decade, a romance has come along that will make us forget how awful his romance was.

I really enjoyed the Garrus and Tali romance though. Having a bit of trouble with Thane as the guy looks like a fish...I keep looking at his neck going...are those gills ?

Worst attempt to get in my pants in an RPG ever. I don't think Jacob's as bad (at least he's not reading from the Junior Colour Guide to Romance - he skips right to page 57 of The Joy of Sex), but he's getting there.

If she consents to being his "priiiize" right away he never mentions love.

I think Anomen's romance was better, though Jacob as a non romance character for maleShep is a better character over all.

Plus, with Anomen I could cast disentigrate on him right when we meet, that is a big bonus for his character, its like having the option to put Jacob out the airlock, it scores massive brownie point's.

I realize when comparing Anomen and Jacob romance its like comparing two turds and trying to decide which one smell's worse, so I guess some of that is perspective. I think the Jacob turd smell's worse, it's ok if we disagree though, so long as we realize they are both turd's.

Anomen's wooing needed some serious work. Any more cheese and it'd have been the Cheese Shop Sketch. Sorry, it was embarassing! It was like a teenager flirting with you at a wedding... you just want to crawl into your shoes and die. Anomen would have just felt like a sympathy **** (well to me at least it would).

I always read Jacob as a hit-it-and-quit-it thing... letting off steam without spilling anything. Well, spilling any drinks at least. At least that's what my Femme-Shep'll be telling him in ME3

Why you gotta go and kill Jacob? Shep's the one throwin' herself at him. If you're so disgusted by such behavior, off her in the suicide mission. Jacob hasn't done anything. Typical female behavior, blame the man for your shortcomings.

I have a soft spot for Anomen. He was a very realistic character of an angry, insecure young man trying to make something of himself. Reminds me of alot of men I've known.

Besides, you can't compare the two romances anyway. Anomen is the one initiating the conversation, he is the one trying to get to know and understand you. He was very sincere and didn't just try to woo you, he questioned you decisions, he try to understand your convictions before hoping into the sack with you.

I like Jacob as a person, but ... FShep sounded pretty shallow, which was a disservice to him.
