Is it just me or did they kinda hint us to the other game? Or am I reading to deeply into it.
"Hey, how 'bout some lyrics?
I
have wondered about you
Where will you be
when this is through?
If all
If all goes as planned
Will you redeem
my life again?
My life again?
Fire the fields the weed is sown
Water down your empty soul
Wake the sea of silent hope
Water down your empty soul
Fight your foes you're not alone
Holy war is on the phone
Asking to please stay on hold
The bleeding loss of blood runs cold
And I need you to recover
Because I can't make it on my own
And I need you to recover
Because I can't make it on my own
I
have wondered about you
Where will you be
when this is through?
If all
If all goes as planned
Will you redeem
my life again?
I
have wondered about you
Where will you be
when this is through?
If all
If all goes as planned
will you redeem
my life again?
My life again?
And I need you to recover
Because I can't make it on my own
And I need you to recover
Because I can't make it on my own
I need you to recover
Because I can't make it on my own
I need you to recover
Because I can't make it on my own
On my own
On my own
On my own... "

The song is M4 PTII by Faunts.
ME3 needs to finish with this, I get goosebumps just thinking about it.

Heh, Shepard's Cybernetics were a step to him being controlled by the reapers and your LI from Mass Effect 1 pulls you back.

I seem to remember that M4 wasn't written for Mass Effect. It was written for a failed film project that one of the brothers in Faunts friends was trying to produce. Faunts had written a lot of music for the film before it stopped production. The music was released as the M4 E.P. though. To my understanding the lyrics have nothing to do with Mass Effect but were written with the failed film in mind.

Ok, from Faunts own web site...
Originally written for a live performance hosted by the Film And Video Arts Society, Faunts’ second release, “M4” is composed of scores initially created to accompany three independent
short films. Harnessing the use of electronics and synthesizers, “M4” is determinately more ambient and atmospheric than Faunts’ previous work, but still demonstrates their love for layered melodies and soaring refrains. The EP, which was released by Friendly Fire on December 11, 2007, has also had its title track featured—to critical acclaim—in Bioware’s Xbox 360 video game, “Mass Effect.

M4 Part 1 is better and should be ME3's credits song

I don't think it's better, but I agree it should be the closing song for Mass Effect 3.

We need a Faunts for ME3 banner or something (I'd be happy with M4 Part I or II)

Bah, it gets repetitive.
This. Is. Epic. ****ing. Music.
This should be Paragon Shep's Theme.

@OP: It's not a hint of any kind. It's just a title the band gave to their songs.
I should say my thanks to the person who's idea was putting this song to ME soundtrack, thanks to this person I've discovered an amazing band. Faunts it's not just M4 Pt I or II, it's three albums full of awesome. If "Twenty-Three" was used in any soundtrack, it would make a great love theme
But no, in ME we had Faunts, in ME2 we had Saki Kaskas/John Morgan/Comaduster (and one more author I don't know, their music weren't used in ending this time, but in Afterlife/Dark Star/Eternity), I would like to hear something new in ME3
Not to mention I already can't wait for Jack's new compositions.
