What some posters are exhibiting is more a withdrawal-related psychosis than hormonally-induced "nerdrage" behavior.

If by hate you mean reasoned, constructive understanding of how a well told story should progress.

We just hate the fans who post stupid opinions and don't understand these basic concepts, because they decide to use enthusiasm over reason.  These storytelling elements have been around since the beginning of written tradition.

BioWare's supposed to be the vanguard of games as art in the VG world.  I've yet to see something that comes close to Planescape: Torment.

Wrong, what i thought was bad in my first playthrough i still think it is wrong in my tenth.

Story, inventory, character sheet, items, missions levels, etc ... except the SR2, everything seems smaller or shorter in ME2.

But as i said i am in my tenth playthrough and like it was mentionned earlier this game, like most BW games, is crack.

For the XXXXXth time, Torment was made by Black Isle Studio (aka Interplay) NOT Bioware. They just used their engine.

Also, in the history of ever, there has never been a sequel that was ever immediately embraced and loved by all the fans of the original. There has always been and always will be that disgruntled segment of fans that hate it.

I played 2 divergent games off of 1 early import save. Now I'm playing through Me1 again because my fem shep was played when my broadband wasn't working.

ME2 is fine there are things they can change and improve, but really...what game is perfect?

My complaints mostly come from the ash/kaidan and Liara stuff.

My biggest complaint about gameplay is the end mission is too easy. Once you figure out how to get everyone alive or be able to kill who you want it is lackluster for an ending. The rest is pretty great IMO.

When someone find the "perfect" game let me know.. Otherwise folks need to quit ****ing about the tiniest of things and enjoy the game.. And they have been working on ME3 longer than you think.. You just need to read the interviews and press releases..

Since people are now on there "nth" playthrough they pretty much know the dialog off by heart. So their attention wanders and in doing so the things that are within the game that detract from it start 'appearing'. If anything no review should be taken as a good review unless the reviewer has played the game more than once. So now that we are seeing 'problem' posts and less than glowing reviews a much better picture of Mass Effect2 as a game is coming to light. It is not the GOTY stuff that it appeared to be at first and some of the things I see within the game really make me wonder how well people within the development team communicated.

It's better than it, actually. Especially considering I played both games and their expansions so I really got to know some of the characters.

ME2 is my fav game ever, do I think it's perfect? Not at all. No game is perfect, even the mightey Ocarina of time (was the best IMO until ME2 is not perfect) The story was well done, the characters where the best that Bioware has made, the gameplay was solid with a couple of problems (would have perfered xp through kills but oh well) To me it was a very good game.

You're so quick to react. I didn't even mention Bioware making Torment, just questioning if you're comparing Torment to BG2.

Plus, FYI, I know Black Isle made Torment. ****, how can you not miss the Black Isle logo on the cinematics?

Then why'd you bring Torment in the chat ?
Its just like bringing up a Final Fantasy during a Battlefield and Digital Illusions talk then.
And btw Baldur's Gates series also had the Black Isle studio logo on the cinematics ;)

Shouldn't really matter if a game gets hate. This is the internet and if there is any place that finds ways to hate things it is here. The majority of people who played the game loved it, and it is just a very vocal minority that jumps on every little detail. Hell, even most of the people that complain on the forums about the game are only doing so because they want ME3 to benefit from the mistakes ME2 made. Ultimately, complaints make games better and since ME2 was such an astounding achievement, it won't take Bioware much to fix the problems to make ME3 the finest ending to a trilogy that video games has ever seen. It is constructive criticism and it is always welcome

Bioware makes amazing stories. I can't think of many games who are so rich in story and background.

Sadly the replay value of Bioware games is getting worse and worse.

I'm ready for Me3 already.

Err, your list prety much sums up all aspects of the game, except maybe graphics and sound. Why on earth would you play a game 10 times with a list of beefs you've been dragging behind you all along? Are you masochist?

Hmm... I agree with writing in forums about stuff that you didn't like. But that's something completely different from coming here unloading ship loads of hate for minor issues.

Certainly, the extranet is always full of haters and it's not really a measure of quality how many haters complain about your product. I still don't think its a good thing. Isn't there any way to deal with your hate than bad mouthing about the work of other people? Like sports? Or ms-sex? Or ikebana?

I don't 'hate' ME2 but I find it disappointing. I can't muster enough enthusiasm to finish a second playthrough.
