*The spells of your dreams*

* Transform into a dragon (it was useless, as you still had the melee capabilities of a glow worm, but still cool)
* Weird and fantasmal killer (I just really like spells that show an illusion that litterally scares enemies to instant death)
What i'd like to see. A torture spell, the victim would fall to the ground twitching and screaming uncontrolably, this would also distract any of his allies to some degree.

Firedball - Cast this into a group of enemy soldiers and they all lose their jobs. Instant end of battle.
Flesh to Stoned - Cast at a single target, the recipient becomes lethargic, pacifist, hungry and vaguely paranoid.
Magic Missal - Creates up to five sacred books that fly towards the target, each causing them to recite liturgies and celebrate a brief mass.
Balls Lightning - Strikes multiple targets in the crotch, doing no damage but causing incapacitating pain for several rounds.
... and so on
You my friend, have won this topic.. Hands down

Gravity Flux: reverses gravity, flinging an enemy several hundred feet in the air, and then drops them to a splattery death.

Sorry dude, that torture spell ya mention in this post isn't new. It's taken. J. K. Rowling beat ya to it in her Harry Potter books. One of the spells in it kinda does what ya describe. It's called the 'Cruciatus Curse'. For the duration of it, the person on the wrong end of it feels pain & agony in fierce amounts from every inch of their body, as if every pain sensor in the entire body was activated at full power for however long the spellcaster maintains the spell. It was used for quite a few things, but torture was one of the most common.Errel wrote...

I tend to like things that force difficult decisions. In the case of this spell, one would have to weigh the benefit of landing a spell versus the drawback of wounding oneself.

Imagine a group of trees that have various bones, skulls and other remains decorating their branches. The spell eventually becomes a small grove of death

One good example would be an apocolypse spell were you cast earthquake, then tempest, then inferno, and then blizzard all on top of each other. It could be some ultimate distruction spell that's equal parts death and destruction and suicide. And 100% awesome visually.
