I could do with some help with this one...
At certain times, like on the Strontium Mule, when you've done all there is to do, a message flashes up on screen telling you to press and hold F to finish the mission and return to the Normandy.
Well I've pressed and held F over and over again, but to no avail. I've even gone to the Key Bindings page in Options and picked END as a secondary bind but that doesn't work either.
So is anybody else having this problem? And if so, have you found a way around it?
I really wanna play that mission without having to go back to a previous save at the end of it and then playing as if I never went there and retrieved the cargo.
Thanks in anticipation...

You need to use the key assigned to Melee. Default is F for Falcon Punch.

Press and hold F to end mission actually means Press and hold your melee button to end mission. Did you remap the melee button?

Yeah thanks for the quick reply. I have indeed remapped my melee button. I remapped quite a few.
I've got it set to CAPS LOCK. Off to the Strontium Mule again now to check it out.
Thanks again, guys.

[EDIT] All working fine now, thanks to you guys. Cargo retrieved and back onboard the Normandy.

Thanks for this thread. The most annoying thing in Mass Effect 2 is the way the game completely ignores your custom keybinds. F is move forward for me, and melee is not a logical button for leaving a mission, so I didn't know what to press.

F to move forward? That's an odd choice. So what do you have as your melee key?

My melee key is one on my mouse (Razer Naga), otherwise I might have made B for melee, or something else.
I use FXCV to move, I've done this since the Quake 1 days, when people were just starting to use mice and needed to pick new keys besides the arrow keys. WASD bacame the norm for most people, but I chose and have always preferred FXCV. It gives me more keys around my hand to bind to things, and the bump on the F key makes it easy to find without looking down. Plus, I find it more comfortable.

I think that in the long run, using FXCV to move might destroy your hands. The symmetry is way off.

for me, I find it more comfortable than WASD, my hand rests pointed slightly inward, so its more ergonomical to me than WASD (which actually points slightly outward). I've been doing it this way for a decade now, so that's quite a long run, and my hands are doing fine
