AS the tittle says... If there's only going to be 5 new charatchers what do you think the others 3 slots are for?

Well, if the returning character gets one, that's 6. Additionally, the others will probably be non-playable characters - like the Architect. As they're releasing about 1 character a week and its 2 weeks until release, we won't find out until after everyone's finished the game anyway.

Some characters you won't find out about till you played the game, i.e deaths hand, loghain.



Would be nice to surpise us with a fav from origins thats not a drooling dwarf

Perhaps these slots will be filled by temporary companions.

Look at how BW handled the ME2 pre-launch hype...Thrubeingcool has it right as does Eudaemonium.

I'd love a secret surprise that we get a 5th permanent or "temp" party slot (the temp slot being for summons/pets/temporary NPCs) but who knows.



As far as the party size of available "all the time" companions, I thought the "official" number was that there would be 5 + Oghren and they've already revealed four.



Velanna - female elf mage druid

Anders - male human mage blood mage? or battlemage? (both?) (we know he's apostate)

Sigrun - dwarf female rogue legionnaire scout

Mhairy - female human warrior -- guardian? (or spirit warrior? we dunno.)



Since Oghren is a (beserker) warrior, I will take a strong guess that the last unrevealed party member is a rogue. And since it seems Sigrun is a Legionnaire, and given the existing racial/gender mix, I will further extend my Amazing Crespin powers and suggest the unrevealed char is a Shadow, male human, rogue.



Or it could be a golem, dog, pet wolf, pet Shetland pony, or some other new "special" chartype. Who knows.



A surprise 6th, a la ... well, darnit, spoilers are allowed here, Loghain in DAO ... mebbe, too.

Yes I guess it would be cool to have some charatcher like a dog or a wolf, or even a golem, like a surprise charatcher and another charatcher form the origin series would be cool too.



And yes I think the last "misisn" charatcher will be a rougue, but I don't know if it will have the shadow especializtion maybe you'll have to talk to a demon or soemthing.

The 5th character is most likely the rogue from the Penny Arcade comics. It's possible that he might be related to Arl Howe, but that's just my opinion. The fact that the comics show him sneaking around all the time makes it fairly obvious that he's going to have the Shadow specialization.

I'm guessing the other character slots are either for returning characters, npcs, villians, or redshirts.
