form my understanding it takes the darkspawn 400 years just to locate one old god and taint it so them finding more then one is not likey if there deep deep down in earths  core

Actually 400 years was the exception. The four previous old gods were all awakened with in a century or two of each other, going by the Andraste to Garahel time line.

My timeline is in the back of the collector's edition strategy guide... there's a mini encyclopedia of Thedas in it.

The first blight started in 800 TE, ended in 992 TE (holy 192 year blight, batman...).

The second blight started in 1:5 Divine (which is 1199 TE, essentially 200 years after the first blight ended) and ended in 1:95 Divine, 90 years later.

The third blight started in 3:10 Towers (115 years after the second ended) and ended in 3:25, 15 years later.

The fourth blight started in 5:12 Exalted (187 years after the third ended) and ended in 5:24, 4 years later.

Dragon Age: Origins starts in 9:30 Dragon, which is just over 400 years later.

A twisted mages staff would be cool. This is a really good idea.

Could have a chance to cause a confusion type effect that flips the targets loyalty on hit due to the Archdemons ability to command and take over the darkspawns bodys be neat to shoot something and get a mind control proc "Dark Spawn crash into the room you shoot the ogre, Ogre turns and murders Allies"
