What in the Hell was Adam Baldwin thinking?

Anyways, Adam Baldwin was the worst voice actor in Mass Effect 2 and he is a blotch on an otherwise immaculate cast of talent.

Meer got the 'Captain's orders' line right, but other than that...

To me, he was the only compelling quarian among a race of born losers.

And, well, He did seemed the less quarian among all quarians. But his job was very good. His "Keelha Se'lai" was cool.

Is all you ever do is complain? Everyday there's a new thread where you're whining about something. It's getting really old.

Sorry, I didn't know this was the Adam Baldwin ass kissing board.

I disagree with you on bad voice acting. Maybe it was bad writing or bad casting but the voice acting was not the issue. Though I really do like Kal character and wouldn't want him to be any other way. As for say Hoorah!!! I don't remember him saying that. He might have been excited or trying to get his adrenaline pumping by yelling out something.
Also in the ME universe they don't always speak English and it might have just been the translators problem (though that would be strange becuase Tali doesn use Quarian words that don't get translated.) The game does a poor job of explaining when they are speaking 'common' and when they are speaking native language.

Plus it's a win for Meer fans, because he can dedicate his time to voicing the Biotic God!

He says "Hoorah" when he fires the missle at the Geth armature.
If Kal'Reegar actually were an alliance soldier, his voice would've been great but as a Quarian the voice just didn't fit.
The whole "translator" issue is just a plot device that doesn't always make perfect sense nor does it have to. Still, a Quarian should not be using US military jargon. It doesn't make any sense.

You should hire yourself out to Bioware as a voice casting agent. I like what I'm hearing. The Angry One wrote...

That being said his voice did stand out to me as a little strange for a Quarian.

Different accents is not the issue, it's the fact that he acts exactly like a US space marine right down to using US military jargon.

Plus your thread title makes no sense. If you don't like the caasting choice, blame Bioware not Adam Baldwin.

A fair point. I think Baldwin's talent could've been better used on another character. He could've play the boring male human squadmate in Mass Effect 3.

Yeah he sounds American as if he was from Earth.. but then the Admiralty sounds English... as if they were from Earth.. Tali and others sound.. generic central European... as if they were from Earth.
ALL THEIR ACCENTS ARE FROM EARTH.

Oh noez! Marines in other cultures having a "Lets get the job done and kick some ass!" attitude!
Your only valid complaint is the "Hooah!" and um...really? You're gonna complain about one word? I mean you really gonna **** over every little detail?
