I played through the game as a Renegade/Paragon mix female Shepard and I think that some of the more violent scenes were just silly.

One example is during Zaeed's loyalty mission while playing as a paragon.  Do you think a punch coming from a woman would really hurt someone as badass and mean as Zaeed?

They should've had her kick him in the balls or something.

Also during the renegade interrogation scene, do you really think it would be possible for a female Shepard to cause a man to bruise so easily?

I had this problem with the first game too.  Remember when Saren picks up Shepard and Shepard punches him and that causes him to drop her?

Do you really think a human female would have the strength to do that to a male Turian considering that Turians are supposed to be physically stronger than humans?

Also, female Shepard carrying Kaiden on her shoulders?  No woman is strong enough to do that.

Alliance soldiers are given gene therapy to enhance their strength and endurance.

Next?

Yes if it comes from a highly trained freaking marine!

You're either badly misinformed about life, or a troll.

Woah woah, easy there. I'm not being sexist I'm just being pragmatic.

Women are not as physically strong as men, but stating that does not make me a sexist. Women have advantages over men too such as having on average a longer lifespan.

I think female Shepard is tough as far as women go but I don't think her punches could really inflict much harm. I think they should of had her melee attacks take off less damage than male Shepard's.

Obvious troll is obvious.

obvious troll. This guy makes more threads in a day than any one and they are usually pointing out idiotic things that irk him or simply showcasing his stupidity like this one.

Of course he's a troll, this is the same guy who made the Alex Baldwin thread.

The strongest woman may not be as physically strong as the strongest man, but there are plenty of women who are stronger than men, and muscle strength is not the sole defining factor in how a physical attack will connect and hurt.

So again, back to the bridge.

I don't think the OP is well-informed about the physiology of punching.

She has had gene therapy perhaps but she doesn't look any more muscular than your average in shape woman.  I think it's silly how her melee attacks take off just as much health as the male Shepard's.

N7 marine.

Selective reading much?

It's from the Dark Star Lounge, when Shepard's requesting strong drinks from the turian barkeeper, one after the other.

Huh. As a martial artist, I would have to disagree with you. It;s all about application of force.

A misinformed troll, perhaps?
Then again, that's pretty much an occupational prerequisite.

Anyway, dude, you're resorting to cave man rethorics.
Read some Judith Butler, then get back to us.

While the women can't reach the same upper limits of strength as men, a woman's punch can break your bones as good as man's, if she has any idea what she's doing. All female soldiers most definately know.

ManShep doesn't exactly have a more muscular shape than the average in shape man, what's your damn point?

I'm not discounting possible gene therapy or her training but I don't think that is enough to make her equal in strength to a male Shepard.

He still looks stronger than a woman yet he takes off the same amount of health with melee attacks...WTF?!

She gets to N7, the highest grade of the most elite forces in the Systems Alliance.
She is as strong by virtue of exactly that reason, N7 is not a plastic medal given for trying.

Lol, a female like Lucia Rijker or Laila Ali could easily knock you unconscious with one punch.

Female Shepard looks like she is a good 150-160lbs of muscle. Bigger than say, Pretty Boy Floyd.
