You ever heard of a female firefighter?  You think they'd send one in just for the women?  Heck no, they are expected to carry anyone out (within reason, no is going to carry out a 500 lb person, male or female).  Men are naturally stronger than women yes, but a woman can train to be stronger than a man.  They just have to work harder at it than a man would.

Not all women are weak. I'm just saying that when it comes to strength men have a natural advantage.



Since there is nothing that suggests that a female Shepard had any additional enhancements over a male Shepard during her training or during the Lazarus project it is safe to assume that a male Shepard should be stronger.



The fact that their melee attacks do the same damage just doesn't make any sense.

ive seen with my own eyes my best friend a 5 foot 4 very slight build mother of 3 kids who is 35, take on a 23 yo male black belt who was 6 foot 1 and wipe the room with him, including breaking his jaw in 3 places after knocking him out from a single punch.

Anecdotal evidence is not appropriate for use in serious debate. And i've been seeing it alot. Let's stick to the science of the matter (but most people here dont seem to like what science says about the matter).

You're a troll because you try(or you honestly think so) to exagerrate the difference and claim that an equally deadly marine is supposed to be so physically weak she can't knock an enemy down with a punch when she wants to JUST because she is a female. No, don't try to derail and disguise your intention by pointing the difference between a male and female You cannot justify your point that a most well-trained marine of the whole alliance military couldn't knock someone on their feet JUST because she's a female.

Zaeed is one of the most badass bounty hunter in the galaxy but last I check Shepard SAVED the galaxy two years ago. See as you're comparing the two with reputation and accomplishments, how does that make him "certainly a lot stronger than female Shepard"?

I don't think I never disputed that female soldiers can be tough but there is a difference between tough and "girl tough".  Shepard may be girl tough and with the proper skills that can make her an effective soldier but there is no way she can compensate completely for the lack of strength that comes with her being a woman.

No. It's not "just because she's a female." It's, because she's a female, she (presumably, given nature and things like facts) has less muscle mass. This is apparent when you look at FemShep's in-game character model (!!!). This makes scenes where she's supposedly really injuring somebody with a punch to the face, or at least, injuring them as much as male Shepard injures them, seem kind of funny.

And no. This isn't making general claims that women can't ever fight or become strong. It's not saying anything about FemShep's martial arts skills or general military training. It's making a basic claim about what appears to be a normal sized woman's strength being passed off as perhaps *too* impactful in certain points in both games. It's a boring point. It's useless to talk about. But it isn't made false by the fact that there DO exist plenty of strong women. The whole point is that FemShep doesn't appear to be one of them!
