I hope this time I'm in the right part of the forums.

Hallo, this is my second post on these  forums and I would like to ask you nice guys and galls for a bit of help.

As good as DA:O is, I would like to learn to mod this game. And I wanted to start with something simple. So I wanted to mess a bit with some spells first. I would like to change the line of spells in the Primal school so that the stone fist spell comes first and rock armor as a second. I have managed to change the ABI_base file, but I cannot force the Resource builder to convert it. I drop the .XLS on it, but I cannot find the converted version anywhere. I run my game on Vistas, so I guess that might be a bart of the problem :-), so if someone could hlep me locate those files, I would be glad.

After trying to convert the .XLS for the bazillionth time, I got tired and tried another method. I used a GDA from another mod and just added the changed lines. The result was not bad, the order fo the spells indeed changed, but alas the first two spells (stone fist and rock armour) now have their own line and the remaining two (earthquake and petrify) ahve their own as well, so I guess I messed something up. Do you have any idea what I might have done wrong? I only messed with the ABI_base.XLS.

Well, thanks for reading this and for any advice you might give me.

the excelprocessor probably lacks writting right in the source folder, so Vista prevent it from doing anything. so run it from a folder which has full rights.

you must have messed up the requirements for the spells.

Well, I'm pretty new on Vistas as well, but I think (hope) that the writing rights should not be a problem. I have even switched the USC off. And I tried the excelprocessor in many folders with no effect.

As for the messed requirements, I think taht this might be the case. I have forgotten to modify the earthquake spell, which might have caused the problem.
