Ooh, this is a good one. We have an Expelled fan over here, folks! Lemme guess, you think the ToE also tries but fails to explain the big bang and/or abiogenesis or the formation of out galaxy/solar system/planet?

I guess you are talking to me - ok that went over my head - Had to google
OK - I havent got a clue but I know alot is still theory and will remain that probably for all our lives. I am just a guy who believes in God but likes SCI FI and History have no problem trying to see the other side an argument. I have total confidence in science and all that has been proved beyond a doubt (Science-wise) .
Was flipping thru and saw EI on and decided to watch. It was just amazing to me how these people got blackballed for what they believed or in some cases what they just wanted to look into. It has happened before with Global Warming - any scientist who tries to speak or show research to support the notion that GW or acute climate change may not be occurring are ostracised.
I thought Stein went too far at the end but it was very funny to see how Dawkins kind of crumbled under the same type treatment he puts others under.
Sorry to disappoint as I cant speak intelligently about that subject - and sorry for the off topic.

Some people are so bent on realism they forget they're playing a video game.
lol @ the widow/claymore comments. Did nobody pay attention to the part in the game where Shepard was being rebuilt? He's practically a cyborg.

I almost hate to repeat myself...
The only character in masseffect that I can see dual wielding is Conrad Verner

The only character in Shepard's group that could dual wield and not become sickeningly ineffective would be Legion.

Dual wielding.... hmmmm.... I'm okay with it, as long as handled well. In my opionion, you should never be as close to accurate with one pistol, but the advantage is more rounds down range - that's it. But if you want to try it, go ahead, it won't be effective, unless you were going for suppression.
And as far as Thane dual wielding in some trailer or Grunt killing a Thresher Maw as it's about to eat him. Never should have shown that if you can't replicate it in game. It's a sticking point of mine. If I see my character run up a wall and do a triple back flip shooting in twenty different directions in a cut scene (no, this exact scene didn't happen in ME 1 or 2, but we've all seen this in plenty games), I should be able to replicate it in game. If I can't replicate it in game, don't give it to me in a cut scene. That qualifies as a c*** tease.

Couldnt agree more - I posted on here about the Jack introduction sequence where she wipes out the Heavy Mechs
My take on DW - like poster said suppression - though it could be fine up close - let a Sentinel / Infiltrator do it since they have no shottie, obviously it would be almost impossible to remain accurate in a sustained burst for realism

I really don't think the ability to dual-wield would add anything to the game. It would add nothing to game-play since every class gets an automatic weapon anyway (the SMG), it would look really silly, and it would seriously detract from the more realistic feel of the combat that the game is trying for.
I think for a lot of people, myself included, adding a silly gimmick like this would ruin the immersion. It would be like giving one of the characters in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon a lightsaber; sure, they're all flying around and nobody really believes that the movie is realistic, but throwing something completely ridiculous in (however awesome it might be) would ruin the suspension of disbelief.

you already dual wield!!!!!!!
a gun on the right and an obni tool on the left.
I doubt anybody would throw it for a second gun.

Dude, now I can see Conrad Verner dual wielding. It almost makes me want to have him in my squad...

The simple truth about dual wielding: even if you can use one small gun in each hand, you will get better performance out of using a bigger gun with both hands.
