My favorite is the Vanguard, although I also like Infiltrator a lot.
Only class I haven't played on Insanity with so far is an Engineer, so I can't speak for it yet.

Vanguard is awesome. I like the all round feel of it. The character name fits the play style too. Soldier seems too imbalanced.

sentinel has the best skill set imo. assault armor +15% power damage, BDA +15% power damage, heavy warp, heavy overload, tungsten ammo
thats my favorite way to play

Soldier and Vanguard. Going ape**** crazy with Charge can make your gameplay very very entertaining if you don't mind reloading a lot.

Adept, and here is why:
Freeze enemies (after stripping off defenses), and then use heavy throw on them. Not only will they fly as if they were made of paper, they will also crush when they hit something.
Singularity + warp from Miranda/Thane is The Best Aoe in the game.
Pull + slam from team mate is just great fun.

Infiltrator or vanguard.
Going invisible, then sneaking up behind an enemy and repeatably bludgeoning them or phasing through solid substances to stick shotgun shells in them, take your pick.

Most fun to least fun:
1. Adept/Engineer - versatility of powers, numerous builds possible, fun to respec for different missions
2. Infiltrator - cloak is so much fun to use for either damage or movement, some fun tech powers as well
3. Vanguard - best class for CQC, charge is very fun and shockwave is useful for long range combat, lacks middle range control and options that adepts/engineers have though
Haven't tried soldier or sentinel yet, but I don't have any desire to do so since they seem to be pretty straightforward boring classes.
It seems for my gameplay, I prefer classes that control the battlefield (adepts/engineers) and then rogue/stealth builds (infiltrator).
I don't really care too much for straightforward classes (vanguard/soldier/sentinel) that lacks control abilities.

1. Infiltrator-This class is just great. The only thing I don't like about it is the smg but playing with the widow and assassination cloak is my favorite play style. If you don't take the widow with the infiltrator you're doing yourself a major disservice
2. Vanguard-I actually hated this class when I first played it because I really didn't understand how to use it properly. After playing through with the Soldier and Infiltrator (and watching a couple of youtube videos) I tried it again. I was blown away by how much fun this class is. This class is extremely powerful and more versatile than it originally seems. Learning to use the charge well and figuring out which weapons to take (this is one of the few classes that really doesn't have one optimal build) are a lot of fun.
3. Soldier-For me this is the easiest class to kick ass with but not as fun to play as the Infiltrator or Vanguard. Definately the most satisfying weapon abilities. Can basically handle any situation. Adrenaline rush is awesome and the LMG is a must if you really want to experience how crazy this game can get.
4. Engineer-If you've never taken the engineer through synthetic-heavy levels like Tali's recruitment mission, you really haven't experienced everything this game has to offer yet. This class is a lot of fun when at its best. The drone is an unbelievably handy tool and you basically play the game in a completely different way with this class than you do with the weapons based classes. The only thing is that there are a few areas of the game that become absurdly difficult with the Engineer IMO.
5. Sentinel-I really wanted to like this class. I really tried to like this class. I don't like this class. The tech armor is awesome but you get used to it after a while and nothing else about the sentinel is even remotely interesting. This class is too bland and desperately needs to be reworked. You need some type of offensive kick.
6. Adept-This class is the only one that I really think was better in ME1 than it is in ME2. On normal difficulty you don't really notice but dial it up to hardcore or insanity and it just becomes the worst class. No ability to absorb punishment or use weapons effectively combined with the need to soften up enemies before your powers will work on them. The class is just frighteningly challenging for me. I've heard people say they love this class and can kick ass with it and I think that's great but I'm definately not one of those people.

I think your problem is your getting your tech armor ripped off. Play safer and you get to play more offensively with powers.sandman7431 wrote...

Charging with a Vanguard gets the blood pumping. It's the most fun I've had playing either of the Mass Effect games.

Infiltrator because you have so many ways of killing an enemy and every skill is useful on insanity. Next I'd have to go with Vanguard because it's fun and fast paced even on insanity if you know how to use him.

it really depends on your play style and what you like but personally the most fun class I've played as thus far (out of soldier, vanguard, and sentinel) I've had the most fun with the soldier. Granted I'm only doing veteran (for fun did insanity with the sentinel). But the soldier despite popular belief is actually really versatile. My current preferred play style is taking up a role similar to vanguard using the adrenaline rush time warp as a psuedo charge and point-blanking people with the revenant or the scimitar. Plus you have the option of executing some sweet long range kills with the sniper and squad cryo is hilarious.

i just love my engineer. Beat the game using Soldier and Sentinel and now playing Engineer on Insanity and after some time I just love it! My Dominate bonus skill and AI hacking skill means i can take over both synthetic and mechs... pretty much my strategy is to dominate/hack 1 enemy and watch them kill each other. Boring too some but fun to me!
