Bumping without adding any opinions or suggestions does not really help BioWare to figure out what needs to be done. I am sure the BioWare is fully aware of the issues that builders are complaining about, and I would be very surprised if they are not considering approaches to solve the problems - but there are many problems and limited time/resources - they might need to prioritize things, so - a question for you all:
Of all the problems (and suggested solutions) mentioned in this thread, which is the most important one - if you could get just one of the issues fixed, which one would that be?

On the topic of feedback and mods.
I had the unfortunate experience of producing a lot of first class mods for another game and 99% of the feedback for the mods everybody claimed they loved was entirely negative and often troll like. I woke up every day to a barrage of complaints about my mods that just depressed me every day for 3 years and those where mods that won the mod of the month awards on nexus every month for 6 months. Breaking the max votes record 3 times in the process.
Clearly the difference between what people thought of the mods over all and peoples willingness to moan about minor things they did not like was huge. Rarely did people stop and think to ballance the feedback properly.
I knew they liked my mods, they downloaded the mods and told others how good they where but when it came to sending me feedback, it was page after page of moaning and griping every single day for 3 years and if I ever complained, they said I did not want to hear their feedback.
Which I guess was true, who wants to be exposed to that every day for 3 years. It made my life as a modder a nightmare and I eventually quit making mods for them and started looking for more civilized communities to mod for. Hence my arrive here.
It was because of that experience that I started to appreciate youtubes features for dealing with comments others post, lets face it, youtube needs it but they have the right idea and have provided a good solution. Also I noticed DAs social site already is heading down that road. But I would like to see it taken further.
The ability for users to RATE comments and for those rating to be applied to an overhaul reputation rating of the person making the comment that got rated. So over time their personal rating rises or falls based on what they say in comment fields. In this way, fair users posting geninue issues can easily be seen as such and trolls that just moan about everything will be revealed to all instantly.
Ballanced feedback thats worth reading should result from this and any ballanced feedback is good feedback in my view.
As a modder I am keen to know how people feel about specific features in new releases and would like to see that sort of feedback encouraged. I am not so keen on the "love your mod" feedback as much as "why" they love my mod feedback. If the feedback people give in the comments could be ballanced and include such deals, I would be very very happy.

Dragon Age Nexus is up, so unfortunately this won't be the premier mod site anymore. Sorry, Bioware.

Adinos - I completely agree with this very important topic.
There are many vital things that need to be fixed if this is ever to become "the site". Categories are not good - ie we need Scripts, Official Campaign Modifications, Official Campaign Additions etc. etc. We need to sort by downloads. We need a holding spot for projects in development vs. released versions. At least a rating scale to 5 stars.
Alot of the other features are great, but figuring out where to post the content and where to look for content just isn't functional enough in the current form.
Better search via better categories or implement tags or more filter options would be my highest priority.

The people in charge of this site have been focusing on the core functionality - fixing things so the site does not have connection problems or unacceptable delays. They seem to have made good progress there so hopefully they can start focusing on usability issues.
My opinion is that BioWare needs to move fast, though - If some of the issues raised (here and elsewhere) will not be fixed within the next few weeks, I fear that people will just give up on searching for content on this site, and go to a better organized site like damods.com.

I just counted and there are 6 sections in the Projects area; 7 if you count the one for NWN. Four of them are for builders and two are for end users.

The categories are a huge improvement! There still needs to be a way to filter out all the "idea" projects though. If someone is looking for content to download, they have to sift through a bunch of vaporware.
My biggest complaint however, and the reason why sites are just as lacking as this one, is the lack of any kind of balanced feedback system. I would like (in order of importance) at least a 10-point scale, to be able to see a list of all the votes and who gave them, and to be able to look at a person's voting history.
A 5-point scale is not good. No one will give 1 star for a legit project except idiots, so it's really a 4 point scale. And there is no way to sort by rating, only popularity +'s which is worthless for reasons that have already been explained in this thread. Though sort by rating will still be worthless a year from now because there will be a hundred 5-star modules and no way to distinguish between them. Highest popularity, i.e. oldest project, will always be at the top.
