The dossier indicates that Hudson, the Alliance Corsair, is currently residing in the city of Edmonton, located in the American Union. His precise location is unknown. I suggest you check in with the main Alliance headquarters in New New York City for more information.

Let's
look at the female human squadmates in Mass Effect
Ashley - Gunnery
Officer Blandy
Miranda - Intense loyalist, runaway, criminal
Jack -
psychotic, conflicted, powerful, criminal
And for the guys?
Kaidan
- Lieutennant Blandy
Jacob - Blandy 2: Blandy Harder
Jenkins -
Dead before he can even reveal a tragic backstory.
- the human males are utterly bland and forgettable... I'm with the OP
on this one. There needs to be at least one more male human squad member
with a distinctive personality in the way that Miranda and Jack are
distinctive, preferably one who, as a LI, isn't so damn nice to FemShep [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/grin.png[/smilie]. She
needs a challenge.
I mean I like the alien male LIs and all (I
think Garrus has the most interesting personality of all them), but the
idea that my poor FemShep isn't physically... compatible with them hurts
the roleplaying for me. I'd like for there to be at least one human
male LI that FemShep can physically be with (without her being in danger
of dying, or getting painful rashes and having hallucinations [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/lol.png[/smilie]) who also
manages to be interesting as a person.
Exactly! Thanks for the support.

You also need to look at who is buying and playing the games. Now I know there are girl gamers out there, but what % of the sales are girls? I could look it up I suppose, but my guess is that it is overwhelmingly guys that by the game.
www.womengamers.com/news/2008/07/18/40-us-gamers-are-women/
40% of US gamers are female? My bald-dome index tells me that is at best some seriously manipulated data and, at worst, a baldface lie. Don't get me wrong, I'd love it if women were seriously into video games as much as men but you just do not see 4 out of every 10 people wandering into game stop and EB games being female -- unless you count the moms there buying games for their boys, and even then I doubt you'd get to 40 per cent.
There is a chicken/egg question, I suppose. You could say if you make more games with females in mind, more females will become big gamers -- but that's a question of what may be, not what is.
I want to see the methodology of that study because I'm just not buying that one at all.

I have no idea whether women will find Kaidan sexy but his back story isn't bland -- his combat presence, on the other hand...

I didn't say ineffective. I said bland, which, of course, if subjective -- as is his appeal as LI.

Well, that and a lot of game stores don't carry PC games any more, and sorry, I'm not a console player.

I AGREE. Kaidan and Jacob are just too feckin nice; they come off as boring and push-overs. I don't hate them though. This is just my opinion... *gets nuked by fangirls anyway*
I'd very much like to see a femshep LI with a strong personality, someone who isn't so nice and doesn't act as if he owes you anything. That would be fun..

are you suggesting that women prefer D2D and men prefer the stores or just stating a personal preference?

"Women age 18 or older represent a significantly greater portion of the game-playing population (33 percent) than boys age 17 or younger (18 percent)"
Honest opinions, does anyone here believe that statement? That's not a rhetorical question. I'd really like to know.

I am a man and would like to have seen another male teammate that was not Zeed or Jacob. I didn't care for either of them. I would have shot Zaeed on his loyalty mission, not convince him to do what I say. I lost all respect for Jacob in his reaction to Thane after acquiring him.
My Femsheps wouldn't have Garrus and because Thane is dying didn't want to get that going. One of them would have had Jack (since obviously Jack had no issues with both men or women, she says as much at least once) but no that wasn't an option (which still seems very strange to me. Why wouldn't Jack open up as much to a female as a male). Then that goes to another issue I have, the only real 'relationships' you get oar LI's. Why can't I have a deep friendship with some of my teammates. Why couldn't I get Jack to open up to me. Why couldn't I have a best friend in Miri or Samara. I think that would be just as cool.
And we all know that Tali has a crush on FemShep. Why can't we play that out more than her just saying 'I'd link suits with you.'
Anyways I vote for more humans, more aliens and just more interactions everywhere. Why can't I have Aria or finally get my appointment with the consort in the Citadel. And when can I finally hit Udina?

The idea that they'll only really bond with you if they become your lover is incredibly stupid and somebody at BioWare should get a smack in the head for it.
I don't think Tali really has a crush on FemShep, linking suits is a plutonic way of bonding among Quarians - that Admiral woman did it with Tali's mother (for her birth, nothing kinky damnit!).
