Don't discourage people from logging onto the internet to let others know they are no longer playing a video game.  My life is so empty, and I keep a card catalogue on all players who don't play any given game anymore.  It's sad, but at least it's better than thinking I should log onto the internet to let others know I am not playing a game anymore.

Well, it's quite a bit better than the thousands of people who log into twitter to let everyone know they just took a dump.

I suppose you miss the point of the internet entirley.  Unless you think it's for porn.  Then you've pretty much got it.

Seriously though.  You log in, state your opinion, provide information, maybie educate a few morons that are unable to think for themselves.  Maybie there are enough people that agree with you, and something changes.

People like me believe that ideas are usefull.  Sharing ideas is powerfull, and arguing a position for the purpose of resolution is progress.

I guess you're one of those people that has lost you're abillity to hope your voice might matter.

A pitty.

And you are from those people who think that if they don't like something, it means it's wrong, and if someone disagree with you, that he is an idiot.

Those you call morons are people who are smart enough to realize that to them, it's no big deal, and that to say "omg the game is incomplete" because there's the possibility to make the game bigger is wrong, the game was finished a few months ago on PC, and a different team started to make the first DLC, it happens to be out at the same moment because the DLC team managed to finish those contents before the devs managed to adapt the game for console versions.

That said, you seem to be quite an arrogant person, probably considering yourself as an intellectual because you can complain more than other people?

Premise: A country with an ancient history that was once ruled by mages and has been host to elves, and foriegn invaders will contain equipment with more than 4 distinct shapes.

Observation: each equipment type has 4 distinct shapes or less.

Conclusion: Incomplete game.

You might want to go back to Phil101.

You have failed entirely in showing how a game (any game) with 4 or less armour shape is neccesarily incomplete. Thus the argument isn't even valid, and validity is cheap.

You show an unmentioned assumption that a game must mirror what actual is in order to not be incomplete (drawing a mirror between what such a world would be and what DA:O shows opens you to that critisism). And we know that is not true, because games don't model the life an adventurer would lead (with Baths, meals, privy breaks and so on.) Thus wether a game is incomplete is not based on wether it mirrors what is. And given that that is not the case, you have no shown why this particular lack of mirroring would lead to the game being incomplete.
Stick to troll based "drowning everyone out with the louded scream" please and don't nark at people who say "hypothesis" when you yourself so failed so badly in your attempt at formal argumentation.
Good Day.

My point is that the presence or absence of a plethora of models and/or textures is far less relevant to a game like this than a good story, character interactions and fun combat. More models, etc would just be gravy. Essentially, Bioware put out what they intended. If they had infinite resources, yeah, more models would be nice. If they had more but finite resources, I think most Bio fans would prefer more story, more companions, more entertaining combat than more models. Just my opinion.

lmao. OK so go buy a game with 1/2 the total content that has no DLC for the same price. Knock yourself out ;)

I want to see BioWare roll out three more mini expansions by this time next year. I welcome regular updated content for Single player games just as much as I do for MMO's and I don't expect it for free any more than I do for subscription based games. If you don't want the new stuff don't buy the extra content.

Enjoy your fail sandwich.

Saying that wont make your argument any better, you have an opinion, and go around saying it's the holy truth, reminds me of this mormon I met 2 days ago.

It's my own supported conclusion.  Of course I think it's true.  Are you going to provide some supported counterpoint that proves me wrong, and change my opinion, or are you going to stick with the "HURRR DA DURRR UR WONG!" tactic?

You are even more retarded than I thought, it's astonishing, you stated it as a fact, an opinion isn't a fact, it's an opinion.

It's incredible how you think you are so smart, and go and insult people who simply disagree with you.

Or, they could be morons that dont realise that content created durring the games development cycle is paid for by the money you spend on the box.  Meaning, you already paid bioware to create the content that is contained in any DLC that is available on day one.

Adding a quest NPC that requires you to pay to accept the quest is just a kick in the nuts before a pickpocketing.

Billy, im sorry to say, but you are retarded. Please go pick up a copy of oblivion some day k?

Many epic single player games will have a primary storyline to it, along with several other side-lines that they will make over time and sell to you. this is not required, and personally, its better worth spending $7 instead of $15 a month for something that may take you several months to do, when you dont even have enough time to do with with a REAL LIFE and such

The game surely has more than $50.00 worth of story / entertainment content without the DLC. As for models, I don't notice that type of stuff so I don't really care. Not why I play Bio games.

There's no pickpocketing, you see the character, you tell him "no I don't want", and you move away, are you so weak minded that doing this simple move is over you?

Great, go get the LOTR trillogy from wallmart for 20.00.

As for not noticing models and such, opening a level 3 locked chest in the first enchanters office and finding a single elfroot dosent break your imersion?

Mages buried in sarcofigi with HUGE PLATE ARMOR that they most likley could never wear?  That dosent screw up the story for you?

And i'm the idiot......

Just becouse you complain on the internet does not change Bioware's opinion and gets them to remove that man out of your camp.

You miss the fact that many games nowadays have dlc, does that make them incomplete too?

I dont think so

Didn't we go over this enough in the old forum?... That's not how it works. See, for the last six month or so, the game underwent mostly polishing on the PC while it was ported to the consoles and this left most of the creative talent, as I understand it, free to start working on the DLC. At some point you have to submit a final build to Q&A, you can't keep adding things until the last minute, except in some sort of fantasy land. If you are outraged by DLC then don't buy it, its not all necessary for the game.

As for your claim that 50% was cut off for DLCs... Really? You're really going to try to play that card? I've played over 30h of this game and I'm very far from the end, how many games now a days are so huge? And you really believe that it was originally twice as big?

It is bad manners to ask for more money within the game, i agree with that fully, but the game is great, so ill live with it.. also i can bet that it is an EA thingie, i seriously doubt that bioware alone would do this...

EA is this titles weakest part, expect no support from there

Sigh, another one of these threads? To the poster: If you dont like it DONT ****ING BUY IT. How can it be put any simpler? I see your adamantly trying to defend your points with every little bit of witticism you can muster, but it comes down to you PUTTING AWAY YOUR WALLET. Its not an insult for a developer to offer premium additional content at a premium price nor is the game "incomplete" because its missing a few more texture options for gear. I cant fathom why so many of these foolish threads keep getting created demanding Bioware remove the DLC. Personally I think that if it keeps more story line material and expansions coming its a good thing. But nowhere does it say you have to be morally outraged by being given the option for more Dragon Age storyline. I happen to LOVE having shale in my party and wardens keep was a very intersting and very rewarding quest with lots of cool loot and things to do, plus I got the game off steam when it was cheap so I think I paid 50 bucks for it?

The LOTR series isnt interactive.  Just because you play games for what you call immersion doesn't mean that everyone does. I've enjoyed every Bioware game I've ever played and that's what I like.  There are things they could do better but I don't notice them because I enjoy the kind of product they put out.

I never called you an idiot.

We don't work for Bioware.  We just enjoy their brand of game, most of us far more than the immersive sandbox type game.

Seriously, what is immersion anyway?

@SLIPFEED -- personally I'd rather just pay more for the game in the store. I would have happily paid 100-150 for this game and wouldn't consider it getting raped because I value the entertainment I derive from the game at much higher than 150.00.
