I was doing the chat-after-the-quest thing with Gianna last night, and it occurred to me that she would make an awesome squad-mate for ME3. Anyone want to share their thoughts on this?

Maybe if they fix her lazy eye and ashleys.

Meh. She's a detective so she doesn't really fit the squad Shep has. But it would be nice to make a cameo for the last installment; even if it is just for the nostalgia :-)

**SPOLERZ**
She says how she was born into a poor, middle class family and took the Internal Affairs job to help her family financially, she works undercover because she's good at it... I'm even a bit worried she might be a Reaper sleeper agent. But if she's not, how would she integrate with Shepard's ME3 game? Just giving info? Or something more? I really love her character's development btw. She's growing on me.

She's a white-collar investigator, not a soldier. Wouldn't fit at all...

Liara was a scientist.
Tali was just a girl out on a trip.
They do not fit either?

Also, she did mention that she actually wanted to be a cop... or CSEC.

Who also happens to be extremely proficient in boitics... and some of her combat dialogue is a little scary:?
More along the lines of a young adult, but in any case, she has a shotgun. Never used her though.Tali was just a girl out on a trip.

Whether or not Gianna is a combat specialist par excellence is beside the point (we know next to nothing about her at this stage). She clearly wants to fight crime, and works undercover. I doubt that she would shy away from danger, despite her saying otherwise. She had intended to join CSEC (just as Garrus had), and she may, for all we know, own a shotgun. She could even be a brilliant martial artist - she has the strength to subdue Annoleas without any help. She could also make a good sniper. Or a tactician. In fact, she needn't even be a squad member, merely doing intel for Shepard in ME3.

Corruption is rife in the ME universe, if she pleases my shep then I'm sure I could arrange fun and excitement onboard my ship

she could act as an intel officer for Shep's crew *shrug*

Gianna's easily the second most attrative human in the game however I don't think its likely as she could die in ME1.
(but then again everyone could die in ME2....)

I think you're a minority if you never used Talinoobzor99 wrote...

Correct me if I'm wrong but... I've read somewhere that Gianna may get killed in ME1 if you side with Anoleis. So... she might not even show up in ME3!
But, on the other hand, if she's not being a squad member, I'm sure she'll do a cameo!

I don't want to spoil too much here, but certain events in ME1 can make her unavailable for recruitment in ME3. And I think that if Bioware is going to add squad mates that are not available to all players there are a couple of other characters that are more important, like the entire ME2 squad. And I very much doubt that any of them (ok, maybe some?) will make it to squad mate status in ME3.
edit: oh, I missed the post before mine.

Not to mention the fact that in ME1 you don't even need to get the garage pass from her. There's more than one way to never see her again. Pity though, she's a great character!

She is a great character. I'm hoping that we see allot more of her in ME3.

Yes, that should be pretty obvious to most people since we already know who has a garage pass, the guy with whom we speak at the bar.
But I somehow thought that as long as she lived, there might be a chance that she'd show up in ME3 regardless. I mean we don't know that until ME3 arrives.

Are you talking to me? Maybe I was a bit unclear, but I was referring to the option where you don't help her, but she doesn't die. But I don't feel comfortable discussing this in the non-spoiler forum. But whatever, the harm's already done I guess.

Liara was a Scentist who was presumeably taught biotics by a Matriarch and they have 1000 years of experience
Tali you have a point but she never left the engine room.

No minor NPC will ever be a squad mate (since most can die)

I know... I should have posted this in the ME2 Characters and classes forum. Hopefully a mod can move it. I did put SPOILERS in the title though.

If Shiala gets her biotics fixed, I could see her being a squad member.
