I don't really like the whole celebrity obsession they have in games now, especially since it usually means that they change the character to look like them. If I had to choose, I'd say Chris Barrie as a VI, that would be hilarious.

This and they're usual more expensive wasting the budget on VO (that they can probably find a lesser known person to do just as well) instead of better enviornments, a longer game among other things.

Agreed. And big names often just don't have the experience of VAing that dedicated VAs do.

Recognisable actors can be great, but the downside is that instead of spending the game thinking "Wow! That Turian general is an intriguing character" you're instead thinking "Wow! Al Pacino is in ME3!"

That said, shout outs of approval for those mentioning cult legends Bruce Campbell and Jeffrey Combs. Very groovy.

Don't know the name, but Nate as a Quarian would be priceless indeed.

I could also see Alan Rickman and a couple others.  Vin should aslo be affordable nowadays too.  I think certain voices would be too distracting for me, imho. Sam Jackson for instance.  I'd be expecting him to spout lines from Pulp Fiction and Incredibles and Boondocks and such.

Charlie Murphy on the other hand could be HILARIOUS.

I'd much rather the money was spend on design rather than making the game 'hollywood'.



If I want to watch a movie I'll do so, but a game is a completely different experience.. and 'hollywood' names are utterly unecessarily in the face of all the genuinely good 'voice actors'...The Bill for the voice acting for ME2 must have been a fortune, the money could have been spent making improvements to the actual gameplay.
