the reaper fleet will have a self destruct button guarded by a few patrols

Shepard, Stormtroopers are closing in your position. Be prepared to stand still in an open area to avoid all enemy Stormtrooper fire.

A secret society develops a sonic weapon for use by the Rachni. They sing a new song that is amplified and sent in sonic pulses at the reapers, destroying them. They melt into reaper goo.

The Blue Oyster Cult is then hailed as galactic heroes.

what if we dont win? we lose? say the reapers get halted diabled or slowed. but some ppl could escape or find a really isoalted planet or something. cause with the protheans after the relays were locked down the reapers conqured them area by area right? what if all you can do is get people to a place where they can hunker down and let the reaper's conquering wave pass them by?

i doubt this is what will happen but what if?

I reckon that Shepard and the crew will somehow hack into the Reaper's and infect them with some type of virus, or re-write part some of their 'individual' programs and cause them to either turn against themselves, self-destruct or something else unforseeable.

As long as time-travel paradoxes are steered away from or done very well, I guess we will have to wait another two years or thereabouts.

ME3 will consist of...

Searching X planets to recruit Jeff Goldblum, while collecting the scattered pieces of the ancient mac computer he used to repel the first evil alien invasion. Once collected, you will hijack a reaper and fly it into the mothership and upload the virus that will destroy all of them at the same time.

Perfect way to end the trilogy.

Although this was a joke post, i think it actually would be pretty cool to have someone like Jeff Goldblum in ME 3.

Hence why I said it would be a perfect way to end the triology.

They will call David Levinson back into service to upload a virus in the Reapers Fleet and humanity will win, and we'll all smoke a victory cigar.

I think that ME3 will follow the path set by mythology.  How does one kill a god?  Because that's what the Reapers basically are (in comparison to us anyways.)

In most mythology, one doesn't.  They have to find / convince someone of equal power to fight for them, or they trap them... somehow.

An accepted alternate plan is the classic, "we can't beat you, but we can make the cost of winning so high that it's not worth it to you."  As a result, they agree to go away... you have detent.

Both would be good ideas from the classics. Another would be trapping them in wherever they came from...though it is hard to say that is possible since it's not really clear where they come from...the future? Posted Image

No one has said that Mass relays can't be moved, right? Build a big F-ing element zero drive core and a big mass effect generator and move the Relays away from the quarian Homeworld and colonies. That way you have created artificially isolated planets for survivors to fall back to. If all else goes to heck then at least you have enough people to rebuild.

Actually this was simplified in mass effect 2. Modify a mass effect relay to open the space between that mass relay and a reaper ship. (super weapons.) Unlock the secrets behind what the armor coating on the mass relays are made of to retrofit our ships and then add some thanx cannons on all our ships. That would give us some fire power over them since a mass relay actually withstood a super nova I doubt that even a reaper would get through that.

As far as it goes I don't think the Mass Relays are armored particularly well. My interpretation is something with that much Element Zero in it probably has shields even better then Sovereign's. Plus there's no profit in blowing up a Mass Relay, and it would take a lot of effort to do so.

Conversely - it didn't really look like Sovereign was having any trouble dealing with 5th Fleet in ME1. It was only when it got stunned because Shepard dropped its avatar did we blow it to hell.

Easy. BioWare retconned Sovereign into only destroying 8 Alliance cruisers.
That makes a Reaper a glorified dreadnought.
Dreadnoughts and cruisers with thanix cannos > Reapers.

You *very much* misinterpreted that conversation with the reporter.  Those 8 ships were the ones sacrificed to save the Destiny Ascention fromt he Geth before the Arcturus Fleet even engaged Sovereign.

Well sorry you don't think there armoured wel.

The relays are made of an unknown but incredibly resilient material, the same material that the Citadel is built from. One of the relays even survived a supernova's wake without being damaged. They are 'cold' objects that don't emit heat or radiation, unlike starships, making them difficult to find if their position changes. Some relays, like the Charon Relay, are 'gravitationally anchored' to planets; others appear to be out in space and are carefully tracked.

The station is capable of closing in on itself, via the convergence of its five arms, transforming it into a long, impenetrable cylinder

Harbinger will orbit a planet of strategic importance. This planet will contain an annoying, cutesy alien race whose members embody borderline insulting ethnic stereotypes and engage in slapstick antics that nobody over the age of 10 will find funny. The annoying aliens will somehow manage to pwn an entire legion of Harbinger's best Geth. A "What does this button do?" gag will result in Harbinger exploding. It looks like the Normandy is going to be engulfed in flames, but at the last minute, she escapes, and Joker shouts "Yee-ha!"

Ok...
First of, all, we contact the King Of All Cosmos...

I'm sure if we suck up a bunch of asteroids, work out way upt to smaller post-garden worlds wiped out by the reapers in the past, Plenty of planets in Batarian Space :3
And collect The Reapers.

Make It Into A Star King!

I don't even get how the Krogan and the Rachni will help.

Rachni have ships now, not big ones but scout vessels. Even if they do not have big warships, having a good scout force is already a plus. The Krogans will be the space marine force, attach to a Reaper ship and storm the internal systems.

Also they seem to be able to fix anything with the speed that matches the keepers.

I have no clue how but I do think that dark matter will play into it.
