 I still don't know what to think of the reaper army at the end. Who woke them up? The reaper who controlled Harbinger? Just wondering. Why didn't he wake them earlier? Why was he waiting for the human reaper larva to grow up?

I guess they realized Sovereign has failed

BTW, it didn't really look like they're actually coming or awakening to me

Watch the video again, they're clearly "descending" upon the galaxy.

And its amazing how many people never figured out that Harbringer is the Reaper.

It just looks like they're floating, not like they're actually flying towards our galaxy (the camera just zooms out)

I watched the video again. Looks very much like they're all moving forward, toward the galaxy in the last shot.

It does look like that, but it's an optical illusion, the camera just zooms out (you can see that it's the camera because the galaxy "moves")

Harbinger is the reaper? Makes me wonder if there's anything about the story that I DID get. O.o

So if the reapers didn't get awakened yet... does that mean we will see Harbinger again?

camera trick or not, we as the audience are meant to think that they are descending on the galaxy.



1. all reapers facing the same direction

2. sense of movement created by camera pan



if this is not the intent of BW, this is a pretty bad cinematography fail.

They might not have thought we'd be confused
A lot of people thought/think Harbinger is the Collector General

Reapers have this thing you know, that one who connects Miranda with TIM (i don't remember the name right now) that is Reaper tech, Reapers have at least one of them so if the communication between them fail the reapers sleeping in dark space will know, or at least on of them (Harbinger is my guess), so when the signal stopped Harbinger started plan B and since plan B was destroyed by Shepard and Harbinger was already awake He woke up the others.

Harbingy Lamar decided that if a straight out attack to the hotel didn't kill the Sheriff, and he couldn't convert the Sheriff, he'd just wipe Rockridge clean off the map.

Even if the reapers were moving at FTL speeds towards the galaxy, the image would be indistinguishable from no movement at all, because the galaxy is so large and far away. That's why they had to pan the camera back to make it look like they're actually moving. EDIT: that's of course assuming that the camera is moving towards the galaxy as well. If it was still, you wouldn't even see the reapers moving at FTL speed (because it's Faster Than Light)

Everything has been building up to that point!.
A trilogy that is ending, so we need a conclusion to all our questions!.
How, probably got something to do with that weird sun and the geth (dark matter/energy stuff!).
