Couldnt stand the bigot personally in ME1....but the data pad of his updates in the crash site was very mving...showed how he changed over the course of ME1 :)

Exactly, I thought that was an outstanding way for him to go out.

I miss Pressly. I though he added to the game, even though you only had about 2 convos with him. He served a particular need in the military protocol in ME1, and I found that I missed that formality when getting on and off the Normandy in ME2...XO Pressly has the deck...XO Pressly stands relieved. Ah, nostalgia.

Whenever I heard the line "XO Pressly stands relieved." I would giggle. Was being in command really so nervewracking for him that it would need to be announced that he was happy that the commander was back aboard? Or did they mean relieved as in he really should have gone to the bathroom while you were away...

I just though he was sort of a pale Col. Tigh clone.

They so should have kept him alive just for the Legion bit!

"I won't have geth aboard the Galac-er Normandy!"

There is only one solution:

Captain Bailey quits C-Sec as a result of increasing disillusionment with Citadel bureaucracy.

Captain Bailey joins whatever (para)military organisation Shepard is working for.

Captain Bailey gets transfered to the Normandy and becomes your XO.

And most importantly, Captain Bailey continues to be voiced by Michael Hogan.

The only other alternative is to magically resurrect Pressly and make up some nonsense excuse for why his vocal chords failed and now sounds exactly like Michael Hogan.

Never cared for him really. The most inconsequential character in all of ME1.

Presley is certainly the unsung hero of Mass Effect. Seriously, the man had a great role in saving the Citadel - after Shepard and his team dropped with the Mako down to the surface on Ilos and contact was lost (when they entered the underground bunker of the Protheans), instead of sitting in orbit and waiting, Presley led the Normandy to the Alliance 5th Fleet, raised them to combat ready and probably persuaded Hackett to head for the Citadel as soon as possible.

Without him, Shepard would have still failed after Sovereign and the Geth fleet decimate the few Council ships.

So, thanks to Presley! I really hope we get a decent XO in Mass Effect 3, also maybe seeing engineer Adams again. Nothing against Miranda, but she didn't strike me as a competent ship commander, something Presley obviously was.

And then he suddenly finds out that he's actually a geth!

The statement "XO Pressly stands relieved" is in relation to someone relieving you of your duties. I can't really find a better way to describe it, haha.
