Wonder what sort of abilities Shiala would have if she was a squad member? Obviously she'd be a strong biotic, but we already have Liara and Samara filling the Biotic Asari warrior role. I think it would be cool if she was a vanguard. A mix between biotics and gunpower. Or perhaps she could even be a sniper with biotics, that would be cool. Thane already has that claim however.

Regarding the fact that her biotic powers are momentarly unstable, her ablities could lay on a wide range: from so far unknown powers to new modification of old ones.  In combination with her "Thorian past" the mixture of possibilities seems to be without limit.

Hah, I was thinking exactly this.  Although as unsettled as she seemed about her time with the Thorian, I'm not sure she'd be so willing to use it even if she *did* possess the ability.

The fact that the Thorian for a time held control over Shiala, and the fact that memories of the Thorian are still supplanted in her dreams and her physical change may mean the Thorian still exerts some control over Shiala still.



That would make for an interesting squad-member. Allow Shiala succumb to the Thorian or Free Shiala and destroy Thorian with all of its knowledge of the Reapers (It was in contact with the Protheons).



The writers have invested heavily in the Shiala character. There are many ways she can seamlessly integrate into the story. I expect they will avail themselves of at least one of these paths.

Got an interesting tid bit from the new ME book. It mentions that possibly that the more violet an Asari skin tone is, the more older they are. Also Asari are better in bed than humans,

This appears strange, since from judging by Benezia and Samara I thought older Asari (after the Matron state) seem to loose skin color pigments because they look very pale.

I have to disagree, there cannot be to many asari since they are one of the most interesting species in the ME universe.

a.) The character that said so isn't exactly the best source of info on alien species, and they said so more as a passing thought as opposed to a matter of fact.

b.) There are older asari that do not fit this description (Samara, Aethyta, Benezia) while other seemingly younger asari in the game have violet skin.

The bed thing was an opinion, too, but... considering the mind-melding n' all... yeah.  I'm sure it makes things way more interesting, to say the least.

You can find her on Ilium but only if you let her live on Feros in ME1

It's one of the concept art drawings for the Citadel Wards from BioWare.  They posted it as a wallpaper here.

I would love to see her as LI/squadmate for ME3. She has a great history, and I like seeing characters from ME1 advance thru our story.

I just don't want her getting the same treatment as Miranda as far as highlighting her wares as it were. I'd like her to get treatment somewhere between that of Tali and Ashley in ME1. I'd rather avoid her getting the Tali treatment of ME2 since I considered Tali to come across as more mature in ME1.

They have already created a compelling personality for Shiala.
Shiala has demonstrated a mature sensibility, but appears coy when expressing her blossoming feeling towards Shepard.

I like her personality, and I find she has a compelling back story. I look forward to see Shiala in ME3.

Shiala is the worst. She's hot, but completely boring. Whoever voiced her did an absolutely terrible job.


When you see her in Illium in ME2 and ask her how Zhu's Hope is doing, she says at one point: 

"No, ExoGeni has been very supportive. They actually seem to want to help us survive." 


I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not. More emotion from Keanu Reeves.
