Definetly possible, the encounter with her on Illium did, as someone has already stated, hint that she atleast have some measure of feelings for Shepard. While i personaly most likly - can never be 100% sure of these things - wouldnt go for her as a LI, i support your cause, would be nice to see that the scene on Illium had some meaning rather then just being there for the sake of being there.

Here's an idea. To all of you who don't want her as an LI, shut up. If she does end up as an LI in ME3, who's forcing you to pursue her? Nobody, that's who. So shut up and let us dream.

Considering the timespan of a possible relationship between Shiala and Shepard - starting with the first encounter on Feros in ME1 and culminating somewhere somehow in ME3 in a love bond I take this development as far more interesting (may the other LIs forgive me) than these "instant" or much too easy relationships without any or at least much obstructions. There might be some twists now concerning Ashley's/Kaidan's grudge against Shepard for "joining" Cerberus, Liara's obsession with the Shadow Broker or Tali's difficulties with her immune system, but I think the more "romantic" approach is the slow one, step for step, even if it takes three games to see a happy ending.<3

Beside of the change of skincolor and clothes did anyone noticed a change in her appearance? I could bet there is something different, but I cannot say  exactly what.

Her green skin tone is clearly less vibrant than it was in ME1, and is now a much darker shade. Her face also appears to be more rounded & full, and less slender & gaunt.

Could just be side effects of the Thorian affliction, update in game graphics, or maturity (entering the matron stage) I'd like to believe that one because her actions, personality and looks seem to reflect it. I would guess a Asari in the matron stage would reflect a Human in there 30's. Heh come to think of it we've had a Asari Maiden and Matriarch as squad mates but no Matron yet. Let's hope that spot is saved for Shiala.Posted Image

Thanks for the comparative photo’s StarMarine. I think they help to make your point. My only thought is Shiala appeared more tone to me in ME1. I don’t know if this is a factor of the illness, but she has a worn look to her now.

This strain even permeated our conversation on Illum, but her coy flirtation with Sheppard is what made that encounter so memorable.

Well that would be a great way to satisfy the people who prefer purple Shiala over green (vice versa).

Make her both!.

Am I the only one who doesn't want their crew zombified and devoured by the thorian? Shiala is a trojan horse.

Yeah, she may just be a lil bit sick in ME2,  Next thing you know shes sprouting out horrific tentacles from every oriface as some parasitic side effect of her "Union" with the Thorian.

Would be unfortunate but could also open up a loyalty type quest opportunity e.g. find a cure before it's too late.

I just hope that if Bioware should add a romance option for Shiala they'll do it with a bit more subtility and implement a real "get to know each other", no jump from saying "hi" to "let's spend the night together". For me that was the most disturbing fact of all romances so far. They were too instant and too downright. It seemed to me they even turned up the speed in ME2 compared to the first part.

I am for a Shiala LI in ME3. Hopefully she can reverse her skin discoloration.

I'd definitely support Shiala for squadmate in ME3. Her sidequest in ME2 was easily one of the most memorable, despite it being really short.

Since the collectors (reapers) seem to have a major interest in Shepard there might be a plot triangle Shepard-Protheans-Thorian in which Shiala could play a major part since she is the only known living person beside Shepard who could have accesss via the cipher to some prothean/thorian knowledge essential to brinmg down the reapers. So maybe her skincolor disorientation  is vital to unlock this knowledge.

Hell yes i support Shiala as squad mate and a possible romance, she did not hit on shepard for nothing and plus i never killed her on any of my mass effect 1 data even my renegade shepards left her alive for so reason i suspect bioware will reward people who did not kill her.

I never really got the appeal of the asari... except for Shiala.

For me, she is easily the single sexiest asari in the ME universe.

I'd swap her for Liara or (as long as she also had Reave) Samara in a heartbeat.

If she was ever an LI in ME3, I'd make a single shep to go for her. She's my second favorite Asari by far, the rest of the list is nowhere near.

At first I thought it was because of the commando armour... but Morinth wears the same get-up in ME2 and it doesn't do anywhere near as much for her as it does for Shiala!
