How I'm supposed to support Shiala when she's dead?
All right that's my theory:

I don't think that Bioware does anything just by accident so there has to be a deeper meaning behind the skin problem and the option to kill Shiala in ME1. Maybe there are gonna be two potential Shialas in ME3, one (Paragon) Shiala who supports Shepard and needs the cure and one (Renegade) Shiala who is a surviving Thorian clone and can be either destroyed or convinced to help against the reapers.

Bioware has used the "Let's take it slow, get to know you" route with all the ME LI relationships up to this point especially Tali, Its easy to feel as if the relationships are rushed simply because a ME play through last several hours or days, depending on the player.StarMarine wrote...
I just hope that if Bioware should add a romance option for Shiala they'll do it with a bit more subtility and implement a real "get to know each other", no jump from saying "hi" to "let's spend the night together". For me that was the most disturbing fact of all romances so far. They were too instant and too downright. It seemed to me they even turned up the speed in ME2 compared to the first part.
Meaning, while it may seem Liara (or any other LI) is admitting their unconditional love for your Shep and willingness to sleep with Him/Her just over the course of a few real life hours/days, in the ME universe i imagine things unfold over a much longer period of time. Add to that being put in many life or death situations with that person it's not surprising a emotional attachment would form quickly.
I'm sure Shiala's romance would be similar to Tali's , which seems to really put a true emphasis on the "Love" in LI from what I've heard for the fact they would have several years of past history by ME3.

No way.Only a thorian clone could work because some people exist who shoot her in the head.(i really dont know why someone would do this)
This could be the reason why Bioware implement Shiala's skin problem: If you're renegade and killed you'll meet a Thorian clone (green) who survived and became independent, if you're paragon you'll meet Shiala (green as well) and can cure and love her.

I said the same thing in one of the Shiala discussions, I can respect that she puts duty before booty. The Governator wrote...
More importantly, I respect her desire to right her wrongs by serving the colony.
regarding her interactions with Shep on Illium.

I always liked Shiala. I think it's her eyes and their expressiveness when you are talking to her. More importantly, I respect her desire to right her wrongs by serving the colony.
Yes - her eyes, and the tatoos draw your attention to her eyes.
Also, all the suffering she went through with Saren and the Thorian, and her transformation from evil-follower to do-gooder make you feel compassion toward her.
I was happy to see her again in ME2. Sorry the reunion was so brief.

Shiala's facial markings definitly add to her appeal, One of the things i was drawn to was with that Kasumi/Padme Amidalia lip line thing she has going on. I think that is soo sexy.
