I played ME2 before ME1 and Shiala was actually one of the reasons for me to play ME1 besides, of course, saving the council and such. So I let her live and when I met her again on Illium, I felt really great for doing so. Maybe she didn't have a major role in both games, but for me, she's right there alongside Wrex, Virmire and the Council to name a few big decisions. I hope we will see her again in ME3, in a larger role with any luck.

I made another userbar for her, you're free to use it if you wish:

And for all people who killed her in ME1 and still want to see her in ME3: the Thorian made tons of copies of her. They are currently stocked in warehouses in Feros near Zhu's Hope. So, no worries.

Edit: in case my current picture might suggest that i'm a big Shiala fan, i'm not ^_^
I mean, sure, she seems like a decent person but we don't really know much about her, personally. So she's as good as any Asari. I certainly like her shade of green, though. That's a plus.

Shiala? An interesting choice. I'd support this. She obviously shows interest in Shepard in ME2 and I love Gwendolin Yeo's voice.

I'd like to see some of those unstable biotics in action. Love interest or no, she'd be an interesting bonus to everyone who didn't slash and burn their way through the galaxy.

Well, if you killed her in ME1, that is your problem. For me, she's ready to join my squad in ME3 XD.

Your description makes me think of Ashi-taka and his curse from Princess Mononoke.

If so you might see some nice decapitation action as a result Shiala's unstable biotics.

For those that killed Shiala, the world is as they wanted it to be and she is no longer apart of it. You can still beat the reapers in the end. If you think the content Bioware includes pertaining to Shiala is worth it by all means replay that scene and spare her. Just don’t take long term consequences away from Shepard’s actions, or you are diluting the player’s ability to impact the course of his or her game.

When i hear unstable biotics i think Akira, another great anime classic like Princess Mononoke, which has more than its fair share of "I'm going to pop your head like a grape just by thinking it" momments.

Would hate if Shiala ended up like that guy did as a result of her unstable biotics.Image IPB

Akira is good in depicting unstable powers.
I agree and hope that Shiala could avoid all of that...weight gain we see at the end.

I'd like Shiala to be a squad member in ME3, but it will never happen. The only way she even exists in ME3 is if she was spared in ME, plus she said in ME2 she was having ongoing health problems. There is no way they'll spend the time and resources making a squad member who a) is not in the default playthrough and B) wont be in many of the games people import, because she was killed in ME or they played default in ME2. The same logic is true for guys like Captain Kirrahe, or Giana Parasini.

I think the determination has to do with the significance of choices in the game. Are they impactful to the story. If Bioware made the sparing of Shiala a seminal moment in our ability to recruit her in ME3, wouldn't you feel empowered? If you disliked your original decision, you always have the option of replaying it and altering your decision.

I agree according to Gianna and Kirrahe, but you must not forget that there were several Shiala clones and it could easily have happened that one of them survived and - after the death of the Thorian - gained self-awareness. With this solution both of them - the real Shiala and the clone - could appear in ME3 with different attitudes toward Shepard. A lot is possible - so never say never! ;)

Our choices must mean something, because if not, why bother importing our characters? I agree choices from ME1 have little impact in ME2 but I really hope everything will have major impact in ME3.

How about you ask for something that adds to the game and not some stupid romance scene that lasts fice minutes? Jesus Christ, there's already like nine romance options.

Woulden't a Shiala romance add too the game, seeing as how it expands upon the game content?.Image IPB

Despite the fact that taste is different and adding Shiala as squadmember and/or romance option would be quite an addition to the game, even if there were 20 romance options I would still ask for her since she is a fascinating person which imho would enrich the game, the squad and Shepard's life. ;)

You mean a three second cutscene of her jumping your bones? Oh boy, so much additional content!

I support her. I hoped she's cured (and purple again Image IPB) in ME3. And I hope there's something more for her in ME3.
Although she didn't 'hit' on my femshep while she did on my male.. Image IPB

The more content the better, no matter how short/long it is. Now, Anything else?

Irony is a fine thing - if it fits... Not only Shiala is a powerful biotic, she's next to Shepard the only known person in the galaxy who has the cipher and with it access to the collective memory of entire planetary population plus her disease and the impact it has on her abilities should prove a quite interesting plot content adddition to ME3 which holds longer than 3 seconds. ;)

I wonder how the colonists did react on her right after the Zuus Hope incident. Being the only Asari in a human community could have proven quite challenging in addition to some suspicions towards her role in Saren's scheme. Or were the colonists just thankful for another helping hand no matter conserning the personal history and accepted her right away?

I would support this. I like Shiala, the very little you are exposed to her. Plus she showed my Shep some interest, so that means she wants him. Doesn't it?

Seriously, I can get behind this movement. :)
