I wonder how the colonists did react on her right after the Zuus Hope incident. Being the only Asari in a human community could have proven quite challenging in addition to some suspicions towards her role in Saren's scheme. Or were the colonists just thankful for another helping hand no matter conserning the personal history and accepted her right away?

I think there are two camps of people:  Those that want to shoot her in the back of the head.
And the others that likes her because she is green.

Actually, I think the signs are positive. The fact that Shiala is negotiating on colonists’ behalf means there is some degree of trust. The colonists are living surronded by Prothian ruins and it is probably helpful that she has the Prothian Cipher. I believe most are glad to have her.

Wouldn’t it therefore be a brilliant payoff, to allow your conscious choices in ME & ME2 as the determinate to whether Shiala can join your squad and become a possible love interest in ME3.

Indeed. I would absolutely love that. But the pessimist in me doubts that Bioware will let us romance an asari who's name is not Liara T'Soni (Morinth doesn't count).

I think we can expect another mission on Ferros during ME3. It remains a bastion of advance Protheon technology. Shepard still needs weapons to combat the Reapers, and we should expect during the years spent excavating the planet valuable information and/or technology would be uncovered. A Prothean cipher (Shiala) would be instrumental in identifying valuable artifacts. I think there is more here for ME3 to explore.

Looks like Shep gets angry when Shiala touches him in that first gif, although i always liked Shiala's wtf glare in the 2nd gif.

She could be lying, when you meet her in ME2, and actually be a (lost) clone made by the Thorian. One Shepard didn't kill. When the Creeper died she regained her individuality, but is still a strange combination of Thorian and Asari.



That way those who killed her in ME1 and those who saved her could have this one as a squadmate both.

I think Shepard is scowling because he is bogged down underneath that heavy armor while Shiala is trying to share an intimate moment with him.
