- Promotional downloadable content items now remain in the
player's inventory when standard items are removed at the end of the
dwarf noble origin. - Repeatedly talking to Duncan after gathering
the vials in
the Korcari Wilds but not the treaties no longer provides duplicate
experience. - Leliana's personal plot can now be completed if the
player
substantially increased her approval (through gifts) before talking to
her. - During the siege of Redcliffe, enemies are no longer able
to
spawn in locations that would break the plot. - Bann Teagan no
longer disappears when he is supposed to be
accessible during Urn of Sacred Ashes.
Never seem to have any of this troubles before this new patch, so i'm probaly think that this link is PC only, and does not refer itself for the PS3 patch

As for locked saves, i prefer them. Too many trophy ****s would be chomping at the bit for an extra 55 free trophies. It doesn't matter that they can all be done on casual, it still takes 10s of hours of earning them. Besides, Bioware doesn't control how PS3's fail, which we all (hopefully) know are going to fail eventually anyways, and that's the biggest issue with locked saves.
Lastly, for all the constant complaining here, i can imagine why the mods don't answer anything. I find it humorous that you all mock the mods for being irritating by not answering posts and topics while acting irritating yourselves. Bioware made the game. They didn't force you to purchase it.
I think it's time for some of you PS3 owners to admit to yourselves that this system, no matter how much we love it, isn't as easy as the PC or 360 to develop DLC and patches for. This demanding that you have all this 5 minutes ago is shameful at best.
I'd suggest the saying "patience is a virtue", but after checking most posts on the PS3 board here, that would be expecting way too much to ask for.

Yes, but you could just as easily lock the saves to the users PSN account as you do the system hardware. If they support the DA world for as long we are hoping they do and stick to a similar game character transfer as they are using in ME and Awakenings, then this is a big issue. If my console lasts for three years, I'd be happy(My first PS3 lasted 23 months) - I'm hoping DA lasts longer than that.

In defense of the constant complainers, I have a few things to say.
"Never underestimate the power of a small group of people to change the world. In fact it’s the only way it ever has. – Margaret Mead"
I'd go as far as to say that the 'constant complainers' are in no small way akin to consumer activists. Though for many I doubt they have loftier goals than venting they still manage to acomplish the same thing, which is to express their displeasure and hopefully apply some small measure of pressure on BioWare to take corrective action. Are some impatient? Certianly. Shamefully so? I am afraid we'll have to disagree on that point.
However, I will say that insulting any group of people is a very poor tactic for change. Generally all it does is annoy that group. If this applies to some PS3 users and their treatment of BioWare, then it certainly applies to you and your treatment of 'the constant complainers' of whom you don't expect much. I believe that increasing your expectations is, in much the same ways as Mean's quote, about the only way you'll ever see improvement.
I could go on, but I think that about covers it.
P.S. 21121313, this is as much if not more a response to others than you.

Patch installed....seems like it is only to prepare for Awakenings. I see new trophies. The whole patch was 29mb. Just another advert really. 'Let's put new trophies on peoples PS3's and watch them go buy the expansion just to complete those too!'
GET A REAL PATCH TO FIX YOUR ORIGINAL ****UPS! (please!)
I know right. I think it's absolute BS that we get the patch that added new trophies FORCED on us. You can't play the game now without downloading it. Terrific, so that ENORMOUS timesink I spent getting oh so close to platinum is now up the creek because bioware decides to release an expansion (which I will not buy btw for many reasons) that forces new trophies on my trophy list messing with my %. And for the "perfectionist" in me they ought to understand that; beings as how they have a trophy named as such. Either way, perfectionism isn't exactly something you can just "change" about yourself, it's a personality trait, for good or bad, it's present for me. And to those that say it's complaining, **** straight it is. I have a right to, for crying out loud I never agreed to have a patch with new trophies forced onto my PS3. Which won't even affect me since I'm not buying the new expasion pack (Great so it might fix bugs for a game I've already beaten). And for those that say "wah, cry me a river, <blah blah blah>". I've heard it all before; I really don't give a ****. I'm merely stating my opinion for Bioware, it's not to cry or whine, it's to state my absolute dissatisfaction with their handling of this patch as bluntly and blatantly as I can. I've already spent more hours than I want to think about on this game. I have many more games to move onto. This game is not to be a career. If they want to release fixes, extra content, etc, fine great. Trophy additions installed into someone's list? They need permission as far as I'm concerned. 'course as players devs don't seem to care for the rights of it's players anyhow. I mean we can't copy our saves since their copy locked; and rather than invent a better system to prevent trophy exploiters they'd rather just stomp on the rights of the players whose time was spent into making the combination of data inside of the save. Sure... Sure... I could take the game back, but there's no way to delete trophies off your list! So now I'm stuck with uncompleted ones (from non-awakening), but even worse off yet since they decided to add these stupid things lowering my %. Fabulous. So I applaud your efforts Bioware, way to force people into buying your (probably) buggy expansion pack just so people who were close to platinum-ing can actually...you know.. platinum. Oh yeah, and that's IF they unlock in the first place, let's not even get into how a handful of the trophies are a nightmare to actually trigger the unlock even when you do what your supposed to to get them to unlock. Gee I can't wait; the anticipation is killing me. Sign me up for more of this horse****.

I could be wrong, but I doubt that the new trophies will affect the requirements for the platinum trophy. In other games I have played that had additional DLC trophies it did not affect the requirements, just the marked percentage. Example: FO3. I guess I could DAO for a bit to ensure this is acurate as I am but 2 trophies from platinum, based upon the previous requirements. Opps, wait, no. One of them would take too long just for testing's sake. Perhaps this weekend.

Info on the patch can be found here, http://social.biowar...page/da-patches
that is for PC. it even states that most of the things in that changelist are already fixed in the X360/PS3 version. so really, that's NOT the patch that the X360 got several weeks ago or the one we supposedly got today (so far people have only been able to confirm trophy additions).

well, they did say that patch notes would be released prior to the patch going live. it is the DAY OF the patch's release and they still have not given us any information about what bug fixes are included. if they weren't so incompetent (and they've shown us time and time again that they really are), then there wouldn't be so many complaints.
here's the thing - the lazier the dev, the more they complain about how difficult it is to program for the PS3.

you will not have to get the extra trophies for the platinum. the percentage will go down, but you only need to complete the list of trophies that came with the original disc (you don't even need the shale or warden's keep trophies for the platinum, either, as it counts as DLC).
so don't worry.

I'm a bit disappointed that none of the issues fixed involve problems I encountered or were concerned with. But they did give us patch notes, eventually.

cool. Thanks! I still feel it's kinda unfair (and unfortunate) that peoples' percentages should be forced to be affected, but still being able to get platinum is definitely good news.
