Yes, it's Oghren. :)

Oghren of Orzammar is known throughout Ferelden for fighting alongside the Grey Warden who halted the fifth Blight. Some say Oghren was the hero's constant companion; others suggest he merely rode on the Warden's coattails. But the stories all agree on two important points: that Oghren is a beast on the battlefield, and that he can easily imbibe liquids that would fell lesser men.

Read more about Oghren and what he's been up to since the end of Origins as well as see 2 new screenshots here: http://dragonage.bio...aracter/oghren/

All NOCs in Awakening are like the ones in Origins. Aside from (depending on the NPC) a brief forced use, all NPCs are optional and you can use them or not as you prefer. :)

How long does it take a Female Dwarf to give birth? I was under the impression this was only a couple months later.

And here I was suspecting the other dwarf party member to be making a return.

At first I wasnt particularly excited about Oghrens return, and I have to say Im still not particularly excited. Im just not an excitable person, you see. No but seriously its very interesting to get a little peep about what hes been up to. Now Im looking forward to what he has to say about being a father and whether or not the domestic life has lended to any differing views about life. Have to admit I never took to him with any of my PCs, but maybe thatll change this time around.

[...]After the archdemon was defeated, Oghren settled down with his old
flame Felsi and had a child. Those who know him say that he was truly
happy, at least for a time
[...]

Hmm.... Seems that a lot of time has passed since the final battle.

And what if you didn't do his personal quest?

Just how much time has passed since the end of the blight? I was under the impression that it was a few months?!

*stunned in shock of this reveal*

He settled down and got a kid, then it should be more than the reputed 6 months at least. Unless dwarves have really short pregnancies.

Oghren doesn't need your help to score with Felsi. He is a mad dwarven stallion!

I wonder if she'd already HAD his kid and he didn't know. Maybe that's why she was so bitter with him.

If you do the ultimate sacrifice and weren't a complete dick to Oghren, he sobers up and names his first child after you. How can you not like the man?

No one stated anything about six months. In the IGN interview Fernando Melo said something about "several months" and then everyone started making assumptions. I honestly don't know how everyone came up with the digit 6.

Several could mean 10 or 12 or 18 or whatever. And yes folks, that means some of our characters are fathers now too.

Oghren is not one o my Origins favourites but he sounded cool. I mean I never got too in touch with him because he was the last charatcehr I got. But I think in Awakwning I will understand more of him. I never hang out with him too much. He's not evil. I like evil charatchers.

Just finished my latest playtrhugh today, with getting Oghren as soon as possible and keeping him in party ever since. And I admit, he's quite fun person to have, and sad, especially in the Fade and Gauntlet. I'm glad to see he get's the kid, though it seems quite fast.. That dwarven stallion :D Anyhow, I'm glad it's confirmed even though it was pretty obvious, love the character and will have him in my party. Thanks.

Also, new armor and weapon.

I'm guessing Oghren would be an obligatory charatcher just like Alistar or Morrigan, and himslef at Origins. I mean if he plays a big role, he has to be "obligatory" because if he's like Zevran or Wynne and the others some people would take it and others don't and so long fotr the important part...
