I couldn't be more disappointed with the choice to keep Oghren around. I had no idea that anyone even really liked Oghren. I only used him when I had to, and I did the same thing JigPig did. I tried to figue out who was expendable in the game. Oghren was the only one you were forced to have, which is extremely unfortunate. I only used him for the dwarven quest & that was it. He'll be stuck back at camp as I'll refuse to use him. For the next one, please bring back people that the majority of players actually like, please... According to rumour, Oghren is actually the Dev's pet (fave) and not based on player based favouritism. <_<

oghren rules. i've taken to doing the first half of the orzammar quest immediately after lothering (yes, on casual, SO WHAT) just so i can take him along for the treaty quests.

What happened to the Dog? Granted he wasn't all that but I'd prefer him to Oghren anyday.

I think they chose Oghren because he's not really subtile and easy to write.
Plus they didn't want to have romance this time , too complicated and rising so much heat....So Oghren was the best choice. Some people liked him but who missed a romance with him? Oghren is not dangerous to write, quite a caricature of a character. So nobody would really care.
They could not afford messing with Alistair or Morrigan hey?

Does anyone know if Oghren's approval will be the same as it was at the end of Origins if we import a character? It would be utterly spiffing if it was!

Heh, I doubt we'll hear much about her, but Morrigan fans should count themselves lucky, as I have a feeling next year their gonna see ALLOT of her in the sequal.

I hope so! I put a lot of work into getting him to 100 and don't have any extra ale leftover! I did see a comment that all old gifts will count as +1 if you want to get a headstart on raising the approval of your new party members.

Really? That's interesting. I still have a shed load of booze left over that I didn't give to Oghren in Origins, so that's some consolation if the old chap has suddenly decided to hate me.
