Playing as a Qunari and experiencing those unique origins would be mighty sexy.

IIRC... one of the Bioware posters mentioned that all the Orlesian voice actors had genuine French accents except for one.

That might be more difficult to do in an actual Orlais setting, and given the integrity of this game's VOs I see no reason to worry overmuch regarding their quality in a sequel, wherever it takes place.

I kind of enjoyed how the only ones with "American" accents were the minority/elves. o.O

Based on what we know of how the archdemon actually dies, would it really be a smart move for Morrigan to jump to her child like Flemeth? Wouldn't the soul of the Old God (though untainted) still react violently to another spirit trying to occupy the same body?

Still, I am curious to see how Bioware handles future Origin stories. Maybe we'll see some origins in other countries, or from royalty (previously mentioned as Alistair and Anora's kid). I for one would be down with a Qunari origin.

Just that being the son or daughter of Morrigan would throw the origins part a bit out of the window. Beyond picking your set of skills, of course.

I was thinking about this a lot.
Morrigan had the pc "kill" Flemeth, but also stated afterwards that she wondered if Flemeth could be killed permanently or not.
It was Flemeth who taught Morrigan the dance/spell to save the PCs life and have the old god go into a new born baby...
Is Flemeth reborn into that baby? Does Morrigan understand how Flemeth transerred bodies having read her quimroire; if so, could she eventually take over the human body of the Old God?

Eifther of these outcomes could lead to a heavy-hitting antagonist.

Morrigan's child being a seperate Origin would be hard to imagine considering how much more relevance it would have over the other Origins (although DAO also did that). What I can see happening in either DA2 or DA3, however, is the player character turning out to be Morrigan's child no matter what Origin was chosen.

That being said, a Templar Origin would have my preference.

i hate the idea of playing the next game after playing DAO and not having the same characters come back....so much more could be done especially relationship wise, if the next game goes off task i might lose interest.

the next game should be placed like recently after DAO so you can pick up where u left off in denerim,go chase morrigan or go to orlais or something, but the whole idea of playing connor or something would definetely oppose my feelings from the last game.

I just hope there's another circle mage origin, and that if there is a non-circle origin it's a mages collective style apostate and not a dalish, but I'd go for the circle first either way.

After completing Dragon Age with the ending in which Morrigan saves the PC's life via blood magic, it occurred to me that playing her child, who has the spirit of the archdemon or old god or something would make a very interesting origin in the next game.   What does everyone else think about this?

I would like to see a Dalish Keeper origin or a Pirate origin, personally.

My opinion is the same as yours Impulsive 10, DA2 should take place shortly after DA:O. There are so many questions that has to be answered, and characters that still have the potential to develop, like Leliana.

DA2=Shortly after DA:O, (Some years after DA:O) If they jump 25 years in to the future, it would feel like the time gap is to big. But that's my opinion. I want to develop my character more, and maybe some of the others, not all of them, but at least 2 of them as party members..

Then make DA3, and this game will take place many years after the Blight in DA:O. Or is it only me who wants a DA3? :P

I don't like the idea of morrigan's child that much i think it would take the best part of Origins away, you know the "Origins" and if it was Moriggan's child you wouldn't be able to be an elf because the codex states all human-elf children turn out human.

Nothing against the French, but... I don't waaant a French accent. D:

I fart in your general direction!

Since Bioware is a Canadian company, I guess we should be on the look out if Bioware starts airing recrutiment ads in Quebec.

I do not want to be a god child, did that with Baldurs gate, was a great game and no need to revisit it.

It would be cool to go somewhere else in thedas, but I read an interview where the devs said something about how other areas would only be done to show how they relate to ferelden or some such.

I would like to travel north into Nevarra, The Free Marches, Tevinter Imperium and the Anderfels though, those areas sound fun.

I DO hope the next game starts over at level 1 though, after awakening you are just too powerful.

Or atleast an expansion the Arl of Foreshadow confirmed that much.

Also Dalish Mage, Apostate Mage, Legion of the Dead, Human Commoner.

If anything the baby/demon/god will be the arch villain I would think. It would make no sense to play it as a character imo. Plus the thing was made a demon for a reason, it's BAD, and with parents being Morrigan, and probably Flemeth, no chance of a good little kid. This is why I always choose not to take her up on her perverse offer.

Though I am definitely in favor of continuing our DAO Wardens in DA2, I do think having a Mass Effect-style expansion would be cool, where you play as the god-baby.

It would let you start at level 1 again (I agree that mudflation is on the horizon), and it would be really cool to have these supernatural powers come to you over the course of the game.

It could also be a very tight story, since there's only 1 character/origin to deal with. Perhaps they could allow you to choose the gender, but that would really be it.

It's not a demon. The Archdemon was a *corrupted* Old God spirit, but the DR removes the corruption and preserves only the *cleansed* spirit of the Old God.
Granted, we have no idea what the Old Gods were like, but we can't really say without a doubt that he's going to be evil.
And besides, I know I'm optimistic/naive/whatever but I think Morrigan is not nearly as bad as Flemeth was to her. Not that she'd be mother-of-the-year material, but I strongly believe she'd never be able to bring herself to do the whole body-posession thing that Flemeth did, even if she had ever claimed she wanted to.

I would like to see some reference to your PC form the first game, like my mage died and the built a new tower named after him, that would be cool.

I want see if they allow the HNF and Alistair have a child and what need to be done for that to happen, Alistair mentions an heir being a problem since they both have the taint and conceiving a child is difficult.
