anyway, i'd believe it. here's how:

Zaeed not recruited/player doesn't have DLC, or left to burn to death during his loyalty mission if you let Vido get away.
Mordin escorts the crew.
Garrus and Grunt taken to the boss fight, ensuring you have a low defensive score for the rest of them.
Miranda probably gets herself killed trying to protect one of the leftover loyal squishies. (see Stanley Woo's explaination of the Grunt/Mordin scenario).

EDIT: noticed that the screenshot is cropped. did you have Zaeed?

Wow. and this proves what exactly? i know its cropped but this picture doesnt prove anything. infact. i dont know what you are trying to prove. all i know is that you are showing me a picture of the squad

You're welcome to assume, but I guarantee none of the squadmates in ME2 will have crucial roles in ME3.  I expect to see them all again, but I bet none of them will effect ME3 any more than Wrex effected ME1(ie, not at all). 

Um Wrexs death effected the Krogans big time, with Wrex he is making the Korgans stronger while his broodbrother was a douche and is just going to drive the Korgans to the ground. That can cause dire consquances for ME3.

Ok, again.. Read what I wrote.  Wrex's role... in Mass Effect ONE.  You didn't have to recruit him, he wasn't necessary for any quests, and even if you do pick him up, the only real input he has outside of combat is causing a confrontation on Virmire.  That's it.  I'm well aware of his role in ME2, but that wasn't what I was referring to.

I didn't assume anything about your feelings of Miranda.  I'm simply telling you why she cannot be killed before the last squad selection.  She has lines of dialogue that aren't interchangible with any other party member.  Period.  Until those lines have been stated, she cannot be killed.  BioWare gave her Author Armor until she's finished with her dialogue in the suicide mission.  That's it.

Ummm...plus the Devs have already said Liara will at least be in ME3 as a romanceable and recruitable character....so I assume so will Ash/Kaiden (depending on who died) as well....
You really should do some research before making comments like that

3rd person that cannot read in a row.  Wow.  I said ME2 squadmates.  Was Liara a squadmate in ME2?  No.  Were Ash/Kaiden?  No.

I didn't have the Zaeed DLC at the time, but now it's the blue recruit paper thingy in his spot. I cut it out.

I actually had Jacob go with the crew. From my later game experiences I'm really surprised Mordin didn't die. I had Thane and Garrus with me against the reaper. I'm really really surprised Mordin didn't die, knowing what I know now. Garrus not being there to add his defensive "points" and all.
