EDIT: This will also be posted on the wishlist thread, since I didnt see it at first.

I am aware that my english arent that good here... Bear with me here people.

In my opinion EVERYTHING is better in mass effect 2 from mass effect 1, except story which is just as great in both games.
"Mass effect 2" is one of my favourite games of all times while "Mass Effect 1" is a game I will propably NEVER play again.
IN mass effect 3 I would like to see:

Inventory:

Better to use the inventory from mass effect 2 in Mass effect 3... I hated the inventory that was used in the first game!!! Oh sure a lot of stuff, but they didnt change the way you looked visualy, and the armors and weapons just preety much changed colours... The way armour and weapons were made in mass effect 2 were A LOT BETTER than in the first game. Its better to have visual affect than a lot of  items with crap use.

Vehicle:
Do NOT bring back the vehicle UNLESS it really can be improved, and if you do bring back the vehicle DO NOT allow us to travel as freely. I mean OMFG it got boring after third terrestrial planet that I explored (and there was like 30 planets?). I was happy as hell when that was removed in mass effect 2. It felt also very unrealisticaly to be honest. In mass effect 2 though, the planets that you land on feels a LOT MORE alive (jungle, forrest, mountains, waterfalls etc etc), even though the area to explore are smaller. But to waste that amount of Gigabyte on planets that all preety much look the same is useless (NO REPLAYABILITY). OH PLEASE GOD do not add the vehicle, unless you really can improve it... And I am certain it will be to hard. What we ALL have to remember is that we cant have it all in the game. We have to choose from some things. And I truly believe the vehicle was a huge amount of wasted space in mass effect 1. When mass effect 2 came out and there were ALIVE planets to land on I jumped out of joy! I rather replay ALIVE planets on foot with a new character with new skills, than DRIVING around on dead planets were the only thing you can do was DRIVE and find stuff which only adds to codex or shows a popup text window.... SO BAD gameplay!!!! Though if vehicle are added, make it as customizable as the character OR MORE. Then there is ONE point with having vehicle. Maybe allow us to also buy different vehicles, exchange the one we have with better ones until we are happy with the vehicle. I still believe the way the vehicle was made for mass effect 1 really sucked!

Customization:
A game bioware really should take some lessons from when it comes to customization and possibility to expand thoughout the story/levels is "Dark Chronicle". Ive played 100 of rpg games in my life and not a single one had the customization as that game.

Expandability:
What the new mass effect 3 needs is to EVOLVE the further you reach ingame. (VISUALLY Espacially). For example what was implemented much better in mass effect 2 than mass effect :
In mass effect 2 "YOUR OWN LIVING QUARTER EXPANDED (though not a lot, which was sad), different outfits and armours was given from start (but we should encounter more to buy or achieve the further we evolve in level/storyplay), the romance got a little bit more interesting because you now could after a while interact with them in you living quarter (though not a lot).

Romance:
I would like to see romance evolve A LOT MORE, ability to change the romanced partner clothes, as soon as she lives in you quarters. Also more interactions. If Asari, she would "poledance", if Krogan, arm-wrestling. You would loose if you have low level. and if you win against partner you get a sex scene or whatever. What i mean is that the game needs to be expandeable throughout gameplay/storyplay/levels, meaning the ability to evolve the further in storyline you get, or the higher levels you get.
Well heck, allow us to but a stripper/dancer to our quarters after visting Omega... Even allow us to romance more than one character at a time. At least 2 in my opinion, depending on how the characters are in their personalities.

SpaceSHIP:

We did in mass effect 2 get the possibilty to upgrade our ship, but there were no visual change that took place.
VISUALS are important!!!! The living quarters should in mass effect be very upgradeable. Maybe even make the ship bigger visualy the more you upgrade. As  well as the whole INTERIOR and EXTERIOR.

Renegade and Paragon
Renegade and Paragon is impressive but needs to have higher ingame effect
. I liked the fact that if you were renegade your eyes turned red and your scars shined red. But what was the visual for Paragon? ... NONE! Come on, what was all that about. Give us blue eys or something similar.
VISUALS ARE ONCE AGAIN IMPORTANT.
Also I wanted to romance Morinth, but it seemed she killed me EVEN THOUGH I had high renegade as well as paragon. That was a HUGE dissapointment. "For those that have played baldurs gate 2 knows there is no limit to whom you can romance. The evil drow Viconia is romanceable and the one I thought was the most fun to romance. She was evil, had darker skin and also you could have a child with her in the end etc etc (developement)."
If one would have been renegade one should have been able to interact with Morinth without dying! Thats what a game needs. The possibility to choose to romance evil characters or good ones. I havent seen a SINGLE character that is evil in this game (that one can romance with).
Morinth was a great option which wasnt evolved enough.
To sum up:
If I stay on the light path my appearance should change so to look more "Good", but if i stay on a dark path my appearance should change towards looking more evil. The appearances should NOT make you look preetier or uglier, just smoother or harder. Just because im evil doesnt mean I want to turn/look ugly.
Also implement renegade and paragon in romances. at least if i choose to romance a plain evil characer such as Morinth I would increase my renegade. It should be possible to romance an evil character even though you follow good path, BUT you should recieve a lot of renegade points for doing so.
 ------------------------------
Replayability:
What I myself thought was great was the fact that now we could continue playing after completing the game.
IF finishing the game in mass effect 3, Allow us to continue playing AND import the character as in mass effect 2. If one unlocks all upgrades or all weapons/amours/romances it should be allowed to be transferred to new game. Or at least the ability to choose so. That makes one want to play the game again, becuase you have some stuff from scratch without cheating. "Oh now I can wipe out that boss with ease but with different tactics"... This touches difficulty, look further down.

Difficulty
Difficulty really needs improvement!!!
I always play on the toughest difficult, because I feel that I USUALY in other games become better  the longer I play. Sometimes just by my own skill being enhanced, but mostly by recieving better weapons or achieving higher levels. This is missing in Mass effect 1 as well as Mass Effect 2. Starting the game with low level, the game is decent in "thougness", but the more levels you achieve the harder and thougher it gets!!! thats totaly wrong. My powers gets completely worthless, I have to rely ONLY on my weapons, and neither them makes any greater damage upon my foes. Im not looking for a  very easy game on level 30 on high difficulty, but the game should not become harder, and your powers should ESPACIALLY not become weaker. I thought I needed to reach higer levels for my powers to do some serious damage, they actualy became worse.
NO powers even if they are upgraded fully can work at maximum damage as long as enemies have shields, that means that most powers have to be used on the LAST living enemy, AND the last enemy still needs to have only healthbar left... The powers are actualy rather uselss on high Difficult. I want to feel rewarded when adding that last point on Charge, turning it into Heavy Charge (It MADE NO DIFFERENCE). I still couldnt hit mutiple enemies without first degrading their shield (pushing them off cliffs). So whats the use with powers then, when the weapons actualy can do more damage, at the same time hiding behind a box in a safe distance.
For example the charge for vanguard is useless in the end.  Even the heavy charge can only hit enemies without shield (does minimal damage/5-10 percent of their lives), and if i do charge an enemy with a shotgun I cant even one shot them to thirs death...
Powers degrade in usage the more levels you achieve. And when you reach level 30, the powers are somewhat useless. (SOME). Whats the point in dominating an enemy if I first have to take out its shield. Its a lot faster killing it with submachine gun or sniperrifle.
The powers should be that crap from START/Level 1-20 at such a hard difficult, not in the end... The enemies should STILL be hard, but I should be able to use better powers as well.
Also the shotgun makes crap damage at higher levels...There is also no chance that you will make it back to cover. You die before you get the chance to, mostly because the enemy you try to kill do not die from a shotgun blast right through his chest. And his support gunners kill you very easily shortly thereafter.
I havent played the game at easier levels because i do like a challenge but when all my powers make minimal damage at THAT high level, it just makes the game boring, and I do feel like cheating.
If the charge for example have that low damage, at least make it able to push trough enemy shields, so that i can push them of cliffs and such (SKILL)!!!
I believe all powers should work through shields IF they are fully upgraded. That would be a good workaround the MINIMAL DAMAGE they cause even though you are high level.
