It says it in there. But it looks like a very strange build to me. I'm sure it's powerful in certain situations, but I'd think it would be a bit impractical overall... Still, it's an interesting video.

Pfeh. The only difference is that you get Morrigan really early, so obviously she starts out with less power. I like Morrigan's initial set-up much better, barring that Shapeshifter is useless.Vicious wrote...
Wynne isn't bad, but she starts with a good spec while the only other mage starts off with the worst mage spec in the entire game.
Vulnerability Hex + Drain Life
Horror
Mind Blast
Winter's Grasp
Those are some very useful spells for level 6.

Oddly, the lag disappears when the whole party when my rogue PC drops dead, leaving my to easily, bomb, Scattershot, and Arrow of Slaying the enemies to death.
One of favorites book series has a character named Wynn, who's pretty awesome, so that might help my opinion of Wynne some. There's also a character in those books who looks exactly like Zevran.

There were times when neither of the rogues (PC, Zevran, Leliana) suffered more than one, perhaps two hits, so no need for too many potions. Alistair is an impressive tank with high DEX/STR, and hardly ever goes down.
Wynne gets to tend the camp-fire most of the time.

My normal group is Shale/Dog/Zevran/DWPC until about the third Ally area, then I switch out Dog for Sten.
Its worked for every difficulty, hail to the power of DUEL FRENZY.

I don't know when they did that video but I think they nerfed Mana Clash since then. Mana Clash has never worked for me on Gaxkang even though I try it on him every time. I see that Wynne was level 24 in the video. That helps a lot but it takes all those levels to straighten Wynne out from all the useless spells they gave her before you get her in your group.Nonvita wrote...

I can get it to hit 25% of the time, if and when I first get a hex to stick. You also need a very high magic score, or it isn't going to happen. I just don't see Wynne pulling it off, since she's far from min-maxed at any level you get her.

Enhanced vessel of the spirit at level 24= 68 bonus spellpower + 10 from final reason + 5 from Tevinter Mage Robe + 4 from life drinker + 3 from destrucionist's belt + 2 magic (spellpower) from spirit healer + 2 from blood mage = 94 spell power before figuring in her natural magic score or spell wisp/spell might/stone aura.Reaverwind wrote...

The extra 68 SP from enhanced vessel of the spirit is what does it.
However, you're right, she starts off anything but min-maxed and actually kind of ****ty. I just don't see the point of going through all that work to trivialize battles that can be trivialized much more organically/more easily. Even on nightmare.

My feelings about Wynne are mixed though.
On the one hand with her special ability, amazing number of tactics slots, healing, & easy access to support stuff like Haste she is very useful to any party that melee's a lot. Her spells have the potential to save you a fair amount of gold if you do use healing a lot. Personality wise she's a bit "preachy" at first but over time she seems a bit more relaxed & can even admit that she was wrong more than once.
On the other her starting spell selection means that it takes a long time for her to branch out into control & damage in any sort of meaningful way. I've found that some low to mid level parties actually seem to work far less well with her, particularly ones that have more range and control options. That early "preachy" stuff is so annoying to me that it's hard to play through even when I know how things will end up with her.
My thought it that if you play a melee focused group then her healing really does help a lot. In those cases your warriors and rogues are generally doing enough damage to carry the "dead weight" of a 4th party member who isn't doing much damage or control ... and they are generally taking enough damage doing so to mean that her healing makes a big difference. I like her in parties where you have a PC Warden who is a TWF Rogue, TWF Warrior, or TH Warrior.
I'm much more "meh" on her when you play an archer or mage. She can be made to work ... see the guides with the 3 mage + archer parties ... but she isn't needed as much then IMHO.

How can she pick on Alistair in such a grubby way when my female PC, who has a relationship with Alistair, stands right next to her?
