Whether it's a shapeshifting talent or a skill on its own, it would definitely have to be voluntary and reversible.  I imagine it would be frustrating as hell if I had to worry about my party members being infected every time we face werewolves.

Heh. I thought it'd be kind of fun if, during the Dalish Elves quest, your party failed, the endscene would be of them transforming into werewolves and running off into the forest, howling.

Hrm. I could see the appeal in being a hero, despite being inflicted with the curse. Battling against your very nature for the good of the world. Of course I'd have to give in every once in a while and just let loose all over my enemy's intestines.
