Eh.. if it's trailer-style again I really wouldn't be interested. It was a lot of fun this time around, but I think a completely new style would be much more exciting.

I'm kinda hoping for individual character trailers. Considering how many fans are for each individual character, it could bring more new people for the competition.

I just hope is not a romance-based theme, dunno if I could make one of those... 

I think character trailers would be a great idea, though it might be hard to top the official cinematic ones - even so, our own touch and a focus on their story (and how they relate to our Shepard) as we see it would make them unique. And I'm not too keen on a romance theme either. It feels a little limiting... although I'm sure some of the character trailers might involve a romance plot, which wouldn't be a bad thing!

Music videos are a fun idea too, but it might be too broad. After all, aren't all of the videos kind of music videos anyway? - There might be too many issues with music licensing and posting them on youtube too <_<

Actually, I meant creating original ME2 themed songs and putting them to video. Not sure how many others have knowledge in audio production, though. IMO, it's much more difficult than video production.

Don't worry, the new contest isn't trailer styled. I can't say much now, but know that you won't be restricted to using video only. You will be able to use images as well. More on that soon

This kind of surprises me.. character trailers or something at least trailer related would have been my guess.
Well, I can't say I'm less worried now but therefor even more interested what you will come up with.
I'll try to participate anyway.

The new contest will allow trailers, but your not just limited to trailers. In fact it won't have to be a trailer, but could just be a video. But you're allowed to use images also. It will make more sense when it is announced

Editing an existing cutscene, dialogue etc. with soundtrack music that's not from the Mass Effect 1/2 OST and trying to make it the best fit - without damaging or changing dialogue, sound effect etc, or editing the video in any way.

I know, lame...

Not lame (!), but extremely difficult and limiting ...well, the freedom to use any other music isn't limiting, but to try and make something fit like that... yeah, not easy. And without editing kind of defeats the purpose of being a fan-created endeavor.
