I may have to try this, good idea too. I already have the armor so I may just enter for craps and laughs. I'm not a good editor but I've always wanted to try.

Just a question before I decide whether or not to take a shot at this - does graphics quality matter?



I can play Mass Effect 2 decently with AA enabled, but to make a trailer and have a decent framerate/HDD space saving I'll need to lower the resolution and effects somewhat...

Usually I'd enter into this and mop the floor with everybody else's trailers :evillol: But I've been way too busy lately and I already have that armor. So... I'll probably make a ME2 trailer eventually just for the heck of it, but probably not in time for this.

Now if this were a competition for the Incisor rifle (the only DLC item I still don't have), I might reconsider...

Looking forward to seeing everybody's elses trailers from this.

You can use the default Shepard now.

Graphics quality doesn't matter, the presentation does.

The Heart of Courage isn't available for purchase from what i understand. Its exclusive to film/media developers by Two Steps From Hell. I've still seen fan trailers made with TSfH music though, so i figure people found a way to get it. If you can't get it, you can use another track. ME2 soundtrack or another instrumental/orchestra type of music.

Same here! I heard theres a way to capture whats on your screen, but i don't have time for it. I'm an Xbox 360 user also  But it will still be great to see some good trailers.

To capture whats on your 360 screen you would need a capture card. They're expensive though and finding them can be hard.

I for one don't have the armor (*sad*), but neither have the time for making, editing the video.

But the whole idea, I like. A lot of fanmade vids are flowing around, and some of them are pretty good. A little inspiration never hurts.

Well i'm guessing people are still working on their trailers, i know i am, saw this topic yesterday and decided to give it a go, but i still need to fraps some stuff out from the game, should be done in a few days...

Well, judging from my experience, it can be a pain if you don't have the proper equipment/software.



Although it's quite fun and interesting process, definitely better than most forum contests (post first, post the most etc.) - besides, Ugly Shepard trailer alone would be worth it.

Nice video, I enjoyed it but the sound could be little better.

I think some of you may have misunderstood the goal of the contest. The trailer is supposed to be of your shepard. We don't want a trailer of content from bioware videos and such. The trailer is to present your unique shepard. WinterJedi's video is a good example of that.



Just wanted to clarify this as I've been recieving videos that aren't about the players shepard at all. Now they are well done trailers, but they don't qualify for the contest. I hope many of you understand now and that we will continue to see more good work.

Mmmm, 2 of the 3 contestants are using defaultshep, I am missing something?

I can't possible beat ugly shepard, but since the deadline is generous I might try something to get second place.

Maybe my video will suck balls. I only have Windows Movie Maker
